No CAPs in DD

Huge W again for SDS

More limitations. Let people play how they want to. Also, RTTS has been easy xp and stubs through equipment picks. I’m sure SDS loves this because they can expect people to buy more stubs. This game is going backwards.
I know, I wanted to use my Female CAP in Ranked too. Too bad they won't let me play the way I want.
-
This year I didn’t see many CAPs compared to years past anyways
-
DD is a fantasy mode but it's a card-collecting mode, so I never saw the logic behind created players in that context. Having these weird Dr Zaius creatures named Big Daddy was a little off-putting too.
-
I think this is their answer to how people could just make multiple Ballplayers and exploit their way through the Ballplayer Path and get tons of XP and tons of stubs from the Equipment packs.
-
@x814xmafia I was thinking the same thing originally, but it’s possible we can still exploit it the same way and just not be able to use them in DD. It might bring the prices down on equipment though without being to use them in DD. At this point, that’s the only reason I’ll even play RTTS now.
-
@virusts That is because there were 99s early off the rip … Nobody had the incentive to create one to have an advantage. To me that is the reason to ban them, because it would go against the newer power creep. I understand that although I would have really liked to hit bombs against some of you guys here with my lady
-
@GoozeFn
They’ll probably still have that equipment path, why wouldn’t they?

I think people underestimate just how many ppl play RTTS.
I rarely played against players with CAP on their squad and yet I could easily flip my way to millions of stubs just on equipment alone which suggests to me most of the people buying equipment were not DD players. Guess I'm gonna find out for sure soon enough lol
-
I got all excited last night when I saw multiplayer was 2-8 people thinking we are finally going to get to run a squad of our own players out there with friends. Then I realized I took one too many hits and its just the HR Derby haha.

Sent you a PM.

@aaronjw76 It’s supposedly the most played mode. I think a lot of that was DD players though. I’ll bet the hours playing RTTS go way down now unless it can still be exploited for XP and stubs.

I'll just play for the RTTS specific trophies that I'm sure will be in '24. I like going for the Platinum in this series.
-
@GoozeFn RTTS is and will always be a top mode... Diamond Dynasty gets the attention sure but RTTS (unlike Franchise) still maintains a very strong following and I for one can't wait to immerse myself back into it (along with Franchise) this year while still trying to get back into playing DD (hopefully by playing more head-to-head modes this year).
-
@romeischillin I’d bet good money that people play RTTS less this year than last unless you can still exploit it for DD. I just hope they go back to the old points system and actually give it some love. I started on RTTS and no have very little interest in playing it.
-
@GoozeFn there will probably be less, but how much less depends on if them adding women into the game actually draws in more players to that mode.

@GoozeFn when did you start playing The Show? RTTS will always be one of the most heavily played modes... don't let the social media and YouTube/Twitch shift to Diamond Dynasty fool you.
-
I used to use my CAP in DD. But with the TA grind - I didn't use it at all last year bc I didn't want to lose potential XP in the grind. I'll still play RTTS - it's a nice change of pace from DD.
-
@romeischillin I’m not sure exactly what year for the show. It could be from the beginning. I can remember playing World Series baseball on sega. MVP baseball. Hell, I can remember playing baseball on the original Nintendo. I played franchise a ton before RTTS. Then RTTS a ton before DD was a thing. I’m sure people will still play RTTS. I just don’t think it will continue to be the most played mode if it doesn’t benefit DD. I just hope they actually make real improvements to the mode. There has been a lot of talk about doing this for future improvements which makes me think they haven’t done much for this year.
