I Have Never Seen

A major studio basically admit to winging it before a major release, and seeing what sticks. The feature premieres were underwhelming and marketing has been down right horrendous. You have to wonder if major leadership shuffles happen after this year.

When I purchased Modern Warfare 3 I don’t recall a single stream about the game let alone 4 streams.

Never really got into the FPS games besides Halo so I'm really unfamiliar with those Cod games

Weird that it's 18 days from release and still no gameplay trailer. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

21 days from release but who’s counting. When was the gameplay trailer last year?

The 16th of February

From where I live March 15th is 18 days until release.

No premier this week either. We’re not gonna know anything about this game’s important improvements, if there even are any, until at most 2 weeks before release. It’s an interesting strategy.

Enlighten me, where was this admitted?
Or are you simply drawing conclusions based on their pre-release info?
-
@fubar2k7 True, but I feel like there was more of a "hype machine" in prior releases. From what I remember, SDS slowed down mid-year 2023. I'm sure @SaveFarris_PSN could correct me, but I started complaining about the lack of Twitter updates about upcoming programs/cards last summer. It felt like they went to sleep on us, and it's carried through to the 24 release.
So... it's just that I got used to SDS pumping up the game a lot more, and this year it seems eerily quiet. I still pre-ordered. I'm still going to play. I'm just a little disappointed... and worried.

The Jeter stream seemed prolonged and poorly executed, perhaps I did jump the gun in my post, it's frustrating that there appears to be nothing to really warrant a purchase this year. I know it's only a 9 month dev cycle but this game needs a graphic/gameplay overhaul badly.

While I agree that the info does seem to be held back more this year I also believe that too many get their hopes set too high for major changes every year. I just always assume it will be a lot like the last version, at least until they show me different.
- Graphics will be essentially the same
- Year to Year saves are not coming back
- Online Franchise is not coming back
- Sounds of the Show will not be added to the current gen consoles
- RTTS will not revert to it's older version now that it is tied in to DD
- Franchise will get maybe one or two changed or updated features at most
- We're not getting a massive influx of new legends to cover Sets without having repeats

Early access isn’t launch day.

I didn’t see a slowdown on Facebook. Maybe they chose to use that platform less.

I guess coming up on 50 yoa now, I couldn't care less about hype or sizzle.
What's clear to me is that the main user base is ps4, so almost nothing will be improved in any marked way. Maybe UI will be the biggest change, but MLBtS always had nice snappy menus anyway....lol
