Fingers crossed it’ll thin out the forum in the process.

Can't stop laughing at this!

They could drop awesome NCAA-Games twice a year too … But I guess that is just usual complaining („they“ call it feeback)… unfortunately

What a stupid post
-
MLB the show by that time every loses about 60% of it’s player base so ncaa won’t have a big impact

Not everyone is into college football.
I don't trust EA and haven't bought Madden since 2019. I do still buy NHL.
Yes, many will have their pants around their ankles for a college game, but I don't see how it affects baseball at all, since we're talking 2 different sports. -
@doobiebross66-72
From what I can tell, that isn't the problem. I found many articles saying the same thing for the PS4 wanting them to dump the PS3 users.
It's a complete Madden/2K type desire to dump on anything not DD. It really is that simple. I am waiting at least one month into the game before I even think about getting. Perhaps I am being pessimistic, but you would think that if they have some major upgrades for the offline modes they would be advertising the heck out of it to get as many people to purchase right away.
The lack of any real news screams "cut and paste".

Any conversation centered around a football game being the demise of a baseball game is not something I can take seriously. If a rival competitor was dropping an awesome baseball release, I could see it being an issue. But this is like me being an apple lover and saying that I am skipping apples while grocery shopping this week because the peaches look good.

More like you won’t eat apples from March through July because you heard peaches might be good in July.

Not to beat a dead horse but I think it 100% depends on how sets are handled. If they double down on sets then yes, I believe ALOT more people will bolt for NCAA.
And the people saying that it’s apples & oranges…No it’s not. Most people that like baseball also like football. And football is BY FAR the most popular sport in the USA.
-
I'm going to get NCAA. that doesn't mean I'll stop playing MLBTS, or Skull and Bones, or Assasins Creed, or Cities 2, or Hogwarts, or whatever new game sounds good to me. I hope you enjoy your time--between March and July--not playing a sports game. That is, unless you pay to win in Madden 24.
-
How is the NCAA football game going to be different than Madden with an NCAA skin? Is there something that makes it stand out. I just googled and did not see many concrete details about the game at all.
Either way, I doubt it will have a major impact. Most MLB sales, I would guess come at the beginning of the game, not 3 month later. Many sports gamers jump between the different games when they are released.
-
@Dolenz I’m certainly not going to vouch for EA lol…But they did say that it will be a completely different game & none of the developers of Madden are involved. We’ll see…I do remember back in the day they did play differently, It was most noticeable in player movements. We’ll see.

I agree, it was different. Can't tell you how, but I had and played both. I miss the recruiting aspect.
-
2 different games, 2 different fan basses. I will be playing both.
-
@doobiebross66-72 I am currently so much in your thinking. I hope I get changed.

My point was I got overly hyped for the return of NBA Live. That game was by far the best NBA game for a decade before they lost their license and it was a massive dud. My expectations for anything coming from EA regarding sports games are lower than low. Including a baseball game if that ever comes to fruition. I was obsessed with NCAA football back in the day but I’m gonna wait until it launches myself personally.
-
C'mon, everyone. The truth is clearly in the middle on this. YOU might be a "baseball" fan, but lots of sports gamers play several of the major sports games. So, yes, there will be an effect on The Show's user base when NCAA drops, probably a big one.
EA disgusts me, though, so I don't love the idea of it getting unearned love just because the game's returning. And I'm skeptical, bordering on negative, about how NIL will work in the game...
NCAA 02 (?, with Weinke on the cover) was the most fun I had ever had with a sports game. I know other NCAA's were better, but that game represented the biggest jump in franchise/dynasty/career mode from one year to the next that I've ever seen. I still don't know who the super-high rated true frosh was on Tennessee that year...lol...maybe Munoz's son???
-
No bigger than when Madden comes out and like @broken_toy1_PSN said most people can play more than 1 game at a time.
-
Madden & FC show that SDS is not "in trouble." They put out garbage annually and are among the top-5 most sold games in the US. Again, they are marketing to the casuals, not us.
It sucks they aren't upgrading the game more, but hundreds of thousands of players are fine shelling out $70 for a copy & paste, and SDS knows that.
