Captain boosts after substituting out

On the in game handbook it says that your hitting captain has to be in the game for the first two thirds of a game before you are able to sub him out for another player to retain the boost.
Played a few guys yesterday that subbed in the first inning and still retained the captain boost? Is it a bug?

Must be isolated to just you. Try the search feature and see if anyone else had this problem in the forum.

Yes. It's a bug. But evidently nobody, including SDS, cares about people doing it.

I don't know why people subbed put their captains , my captains raked most of the time.
