    A few days ago I made a post about comeback logic in this game and all the reasons and signs that point to it. Tonight I played a game where I was winning up 11-3, and because I KNOW about comeback logic, I can assure you that I don't take ANY lead for granted. But just like many of you have pointed out, once it started in the game I just knew what was going to happen;

    After putting a bunch of runs up, my bat gets nerfed and can't hit anything anymore and every other pitch is now a home run for the opponent. I'll make this short and sweet and say that he came back and won against my best relievers in the game; Britton, Dhuran and Rogers... and of course I'm boiling because it felt there was nothing I could do to hold the lead or tack on more runs after I scored a bunch. All of his runs came in the 8th inning btw. Clearly giving this opponent who had been struggling the entire game a reason to love this game.

    I find this game unrealistically unsettling and beyond frustrating when these events seem to happen so much in the game. I shouldn't start feeling borderline nauseous wondering why I'm about to give up the game that I've been in control of in its entirety, and so often. It's really not fun like this. It's not realistic when it's this common especially.

    I know the non believers of this comeback logic coding will be like GOOD riddance to someone who does believe in this coding. But it's really disappointing and sad honestly knowing that I have been completely discouraged by this game at this point when I've put in COUNTLESS hours in it this year and constructed a DD team I've very proud of. I've also been playing this game for a decade and DD since it came out. I'm no slouch and I get the nuances of the game. I outplayed this opponent at every facet, taking pitches, working counts, out hitting and pitching and then it literally felt like the controller was taken out of my hands or handicapped to give this player a "redemption" arc. I've been on both sides of this annoying coin.

    I'll miss the game. But clearly this is just not good for my mental health. I should spend my time elsewhere. I love baseball, and I used to LOVE this game... but this is a cringy aspect of this game online that I find intolerable, disrespectful, and beyond frustrating. It is what it is. I'll very much miss my team and playing the game when it seemed actually balanced. Cheers y'all.

    @amendoza616
    Taking a break from this (or any) game is a solid idea. When it gets to the point where you can’t enjoy it, and playing is stressing you out, it’s definitely the way to go.
    The next version of the game will no doubt be here, when you feel like you can play again.

    I try to accept the gameplay for what it is, “comeback logic” or not. I can really only control my input, and how I react. The outcomes of the game are largely beyond that.

    Good Luck!

    Definitely sounds like it man. Sorry it has been rough for you. I get frustrated at times aswell. But for me it lets me vent my anger through the game. So in real life I can hold it all in mostly.

    Sound advice, I appreciate it! I've actually quit this game before too sadly for a full year. And I've enjoyed the content of the game and graphics and everything but the gameplay online ranked. It feels too manipulate...

    I can't disagree with the comeback logic as I seem to score (when I do actually score) all my runs in one inning and nothing in other innings. Same for my opponents, not always but on a regular basis. Soooo, the comeback logic seems logical.

    This stuff even happens against the CPU when you can score 10 runs and hit off PCI home runs at will then square everything up and have it right at the fielder or die at the warning track. Or when the CPU isn’t hitting anything and then drops in a blooper and crushes a 103 mph fastball on the black for a no doubt homer. It’s clearly built into the game to help keep scores closer. It’s just more pronounced when playing against others online to improve player engagement. I’ve always said the only difference is that elite players are good enough to overcome the bs while the rest of us simply get screwed over and just have to take the L and accept it as “it’s just baseball”.

    My guess is Shield Woods. Got up 11-3 on BS 80mph home runs and then raged when he gave up the same.

    Having mental toughness is a valuable thing to possess. This game, as well as some other games, can challenge that. Losing by a lot of runs for several games in a row, or getting beat by a pause happy bunt cheeser, does test your emotional fortitude. However, this can be a good thing. Because learning how to deal with that emotionally, and not allowing those things to get to you, will only make you mentally tougher.

    Or just come to this forum and vent...that works too. 🙂

    At least they make the game so you can download it instead inserting a disc. Was it 16 or 17 where you got so mad you broke the disc in half and posted a picture. I still get a laugh out of that my friend. This year's game format is so bad (expiring players) that I pretty much quit in early November. I feel your pain. I've never quit the game since 2006 but this year did it for me.

    Shippett. And honestly it SHOULD NOT MATTER. No game should be this ridiculous this often.

    @amendoza616_PSN I think for me because I have been playing since long before DD and online play was even a thing I still play franchise maybe if you played a little of the other modes as well as DD it would maybe not frustrate you as bad. I also play other games at the same time to keep the frustration of the game at minimum. Those would really be my only suggestions to keep yourself from just outright quitting right when you got to “all cards are playable” season 6.

    @fubar2k7 or just needs to learn how to lose and accept a loss. 11-3 and lost and the first reaction is to blame the game for come back logic. Not the first time someone has posted on here blaming the game, did he get cheated? Most likley, but blaming the game on everything isn't the way. Some people just have to learn how to accept losses and laugh at the game sometimes. It's never this serious.

    @chucky97____PSN Reminds me of the game I left Jhoan Duran in there to take a beating in my mini season because I just didn’t care. Now I look at his ERA and I’m like poor guy.
