for ruining, and not caring, about online play.
Played some Event games today, on this and my other account, and 9 out of 10 of my opponents abused the Captain glitch.
Whether they subbed out their Captain, or did it the other way, they not only got a free win from me; they also got reported.
Not that anything will happen to them anyway; as the one person, who's a top player and streamer, whom showed the masses how to do the one glitch is still playing.
If you're not going to patch it; at least do what you all stated you would do and start dropping the ban hammer.

Get a life dude. Why are you trying to attack players during Christmas time because they get one extra bench bat that’s crazy. I feel bad for you.

You know, one would think since we had a representative of the company to pop into the forum to threaten the ban that this would FORCE them into action. I only say this because now that cbrev has thrown down the gauntlet (so to speak) that would essentially divide this group into two: the ones who benefit from this exploit and use the advantage towards winning, and those who try to do right by the rules that are in place. Wouldn’t this put this second group at a clear disadvantage? Sure seems like it.

How do you know the player is actually getting the advantage of the captain? I assume you are going off the visuals on screen? How do you know the visuals are accurate and just don’t stay that way and glitch is that the visual doesn’t change the number back from the boosted number back to the normal number?

As far as subbing out the captain, has SDS ever stated how the captain was supposed to function in a 3 inning game? Somewhere they talked about the captain having to be in for 6 inning for a 9 inning game, but I don’t remember anything about how the boost was intended to work in a 3 inning game.

all the cards are juiced to the gills anyways, if you can hit with 125 contact you can hit with 115 contact this is way less of an advantage than you have it made out to be in your head.

No they did not. EDIT: They fixed a glitch, where you could replace the captain with a bench bat on the lineup screen loading into the game

There is no glitch subbing out the captain … I did not know about that 6th inning thing until I read it here. They did not implement it …

Yeah, @fubar2k7, I’d appreciate it if you’d stop coming at us with reasonable alternatives and asking us to question our initial reactions when we’re clearly trying very hard to be angry at the game. No one needs your consideration of elapsed time and stated intention—or your reading of update notes, for that matter—because we all know that visual glitches aren’t real and that any abnormality we see is indicative of a clandestine effort to keep us from winning games against lesser opponents.
There is no chance that I’m wrong about any of this, so please just stop with your questions and don’t expect me to believe that someone wouldn’t be working 24/7 and able to immediately address the few and reasonable suggestions that come out of this forum. Anything less is just more proof that this game is out to get us.

@The_Joneser_PSN See I don’t have anything on the screen indicating player ratings. Last time I played online it went so quick I had zero idea what my opponents individual ratings in each and every single category was. I asked a question of how they know these captains abilities exists and instead of an actual answer the “gen z” crowd says because they said so. Well they also said they fixed it. Then they said they didn’t fix it they only fixed this. I’m genuinely curious how you legitimately know the players have the captain ability? Did you use it yourself and do your players have the inflated ratings once you pulled the captain?

@fubar2k7 - I was actually just trying to be cheeky… Your post seemed the most reasonable to me, as in how can people know with any certainty if the glitch was just something akin to a display error when the root was actually fixed (like, I swear that guy hits like he has 125 contact because he sucks with 119), or if it was truly left alone (and, even then, not a big deal in the scheme of things)?
I was just in a mood, and I guess my attempt at sarcastic humor failed

When almost every card has maxed stats, the captain boosts are almost overkill. But yeah, whatever. I don’t mind captain, boosts. I won’t play Shield Woods though

With the captain boost can attributes play in excess of 125 or do they simply cap out at that point? Ultimately if they want people to use captains, the boosts need to be better and the captains themselves need to be 99 rated core cards. By doing this people would actually let the captain play and core cards would be eligible the entire game cycle.

Um. I don't know if I would call him a top streamer. When guys like YourfriendKyle, Littlemann17 and Kevingohd have 275K plus subscribers I don't think a guy with 3K subscribers (only 1% of the big guys) can be labeled as a "top streamer".
Granted he, probably should be banned for showing an exploit but I doubt that the 4,000 people who watched that video are flooding the servers.

On an unrelated but related subject Core cards. Any card you take the time to P5 should become a Core card.
