You’re not doing anything wrong. It’s the timing window for the game, which is tuned in a manner that is subpar
That makes sense because I tried directional hitting in one game & timing up a swing correctly was [censored] near impossible. -

Broken timing window doesn’t help. If I can’t catch up to a fastball that’s on me. If it’s because the game is broken and isn’t allowing me that’s on SDS.

21/27 in my last ranked game were good okays. 3/4ths were center pci and yet they were all outs. My hits in the game were a late squared up going opposite field on the shift, three good squared, one good good and a perfect perfect homer to win the game. Hitting is a hot mess

I was getting screw like that The other day but the dude kept throwing low and I sat there until it decided to let my results be good. Ended up hitting 3 or 4 p/p bombs on him in one inning and he rage quit..... he couldn’t learn to stop throwing low. He hit two jacks in the first in low pitches so I threw high and on the outside over and over and he never adjusted to that either

This game is terrible hitting is off big time. There's no practice in the world that's gonna fix the hitting issue unless it's patched or the server issues are fixed. I was ranked 58 and between freeze offs and bogus hitting results I lost to opponents that were not good at all. My most recent game with my other account TRIBUNAL I had 5 perfect/perfect and only 1 resulted in a homer. All others warning track or line out to second or shortstop. Then my opponent hits a bomb with a pitch up above the letters completely outside of the PCI. Some opponents have completely abandoned moving the PCI and their at bats were still resulting in hits or fouls with pitches up and in and pitches literally bouncing in front of home plate. On another note elite pitchers like Kershaw and Scherzer for example seem to receive a buff so even on mistake pitches right down the middle constantly resulting in outs no matter how good or perfect your timing and contact is. That's absolute bull [censored]!!!!!! I've beaten top 10 players and they complain about the same thing so it's not the players this game is ABSOLUTE TRASH.

I thought it was just me. I played against a clearly better player the other day. He K'ed me almost 20 times, yet I had 5 PURE GUESS FASTBALL swings that ended up being homeruns. Meanwhile he was peppering the ball all over the field lolol. He ended up beating me by only 1 run but still. Those timing windows/RNG, or something clearly feels off.

To say Kershaw is buffed absolutely baffles me. Kershaw has gotten absolutely demolished for me on almost every start. 9-5 record with 22 ER in 27 IP. But that’s also on All-Star as I only really play events. And I would never pitch Kershaw in a ranked game. My undefeated record of 11-0 is not about to go down in flames due to Kershaws [censored] [censored].

You are not talking about the same game as the guy who originally created this. this is from 2 weeks after TS 20 released
