On the flip side, if everything was purchasable, people would complain about that too.

But surely there's a middle ground? Last year you could sell the Topps Now cards and henchmen and some of the other rewards in modes I don't play. I don't think anyone is saying it should all be sellable, but SDS really took several pages from the EA/FIFA playbook this year. And while I'm sure it's led to increased stub sales (and thus accomplished its goal) it certainly seems to be leaving a bad taste for a lot of people.

This!
I was fine with the way it was a few years ago where all the BR and late RS cards were 1M stubs. But people complained. Fine. But I am much more a fan of this year as a middle ground where those rare cards still retain value but can also be acquired via a participation trophy.
Did not like last year where SDS destroyed the value of Rare cards.

I agree with the OP. If I earned it, I should be able to do with it what I want.
Keep it. QS it. Sell it. Whatever I decide. Regardless of card value/worth.
-
The issue with prior years was that if you wanted to do a set collection you often needed guys from BR or Ranked to complete the set and that's why the prices were so high. I kind of like they way they are doing it this year where its just collect 230 cards it doesn't matter if they awards, milestone, finest, whatever. I think for that reason they should make more cards sellable. I don't think the prices would be as crazy.

I was fine with paying 1M for those cards as well simply because you could make way more stubs by just playing the game. I had the stubs to spend and I would get in line to buy those cards. I could do this without having to spend hours flipping cards on the market, I had a $5M bankroll from just playing which is what I wanted to do.....PLAY. You can't do that anymore. I personally am not going to spend $75K for a Chase pack that has a 1% success rate of pulling the Headliner and I'm not going to spend $500K for a Mantle or Elly which will not only wipe out my stub account but I will have cards that will expire.
-
Fair point sir. I have about 3.5M stubs and most cards but that was from early flipping and Flash Sale investments. Definitely harder to make stubs.
The added Rare cards from Chase and 12-Win Event records does add to the pool of hard to get cards. That coupled with less stubs in circulation does create issues I agree.
All I know is I didn’t like last year where it was way too easy to get both stubs and all cards. Suspect SDS will continue to iterate here.

Can you imagine the complaints about buying teams with money if you could purchase every card in the game? Lol this place would be a wreck
-
Yup it would be nice to grind to sell

STOP PUTTING EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO GRIND IN PROGRAMS NO SELL.
It’s gonna be this way for the entire cycle of the game. You haven’t figured this out yet?
