Ok I’ve thought of the title so let’s make this thread a pitching clinic. Anything goes and I’ll start.

When changing speeds the progression should go fastball to slider and back, or fastball to and change or curveball. I learned this from none other than John Smoltz. He said you never want want to step down in increments but rather the goal should be to affect as large a differential in speed at possible. He gave examples of never going from a slider to a curve but rather slider back up to fastball and THEN to off speed. While not a Cardinal Rule is is certainly an intelligent way to pitch.

    Who’s next

Well thats another problem with the game , everybody doing too many different fawcetts . Put everyone on same field . Water muddy enough already.Best leagues in 2005 were simulated by CPU vrs CPU lineps and rosters were submitted commisioner simmed it out recorded results and even shared gameplay footage . Was very similar to real deal and cheating was dealt with by the rope

One big factor that Im sure would help a lot of games. Im speaking of PC version which is where i know 4 sure. This was computer program. When we hit a wall we give the players tools and info to work on it with us. Be surprised how many times they got the answer before we did.

I don't think irl pitching strategies work in game . I think the what you have to do is change location. Double up on pitches occasionally to not be too predictable, but the biggest factor I believe is getting perfect on your pitch meter to get the rng in your favor.
