It will not let me put more than one player from season 1 into my squad. I can't get more than one season 1 player to go into any mini seasons squad to include classic mode. I understand the wildcard spot, but why is it being enforced against Play vs. CPU and classic mini-seasons? Anyone know a way around this?

Try going into Set One Team Affinity mini seasons and have the CPU generate your lineup.

I'm using Core players to complete TA1. My entire team are Core players including the pitcher. I'm using this vs. CPU and I'm almost finished with TA1.
I believe the Core players count on all 3 TA's

I am completing a bunch of old(er) programs myself. When generating a lineup, there is an option to generate best S3 lineup. There is another option to generate best lineup (please note the difference).

You want to generate best lineup. When you exit, it will have a red X at the top indicating it is not season 3 eligible.

This is fine. It is what you want for season 1 programs.

Sub away with Core and Set 1 cards.

    HTH.

As mentioned just create a new squad but use one of the options that does not make it Season 3 (S3) eligible.

Then you can play vs CPU or play one of the non limited conquest maps, like the US map.
