I have not taken an official break, but I am playing significantly less than I ever have before. It all just seems like the same thing as always (conquest/showdown/pxp), just the grind keeps repeating over and over this year. TA3 has probably killed my motivation as much as anything. I am starting to do things on the Meta Quest I got my boys and spending my free time with other things. I love playing this game, but my boredom with it has not been a bad thing at all.

Yep, cards being phased out = the treadmill never stops.
And after ~4 months, it all seems pretty pointless.

I didn't play season 2 at all. Came back and completed all of TA3. It wasn't bad because I had a ton of conquest maps to play, but without that I would have given up.
Also coop is still In shambles (the reason gave up during season 1). It's just baffling to me that they punish the player because they refuse to implement some type of connection based match making, or some way to detect when a game freezes.
Online play is just garbage this year. without solid online play, what's the point in playing DD at all?
Also all the 99s from day one, and cards expiring ruins alot of the joy.

And... I'm... burned out. I feel like Forest Gump after he ran across America 3 times... "I'm kinda tired... I think I'll go home now".
I've come to look at this year's edition as "work". I gave SDS the benefit of the doubt with the whole "set" thing, but I'm absolutely dreading going through sets 4, 5 and 6.
So, I'll take a break. I'll be back for sure, but I'm just not enjoying the game as much as I should.

I don't ever take breaks but there are days where I simply don't play the game or will do something real quick in the game and then I'll end up streaming a show or something and just have no interest in trying to grind MLB or any of the other games that I've neglected since I started playing MLB... then something new will be added to the game (like Extreme Program tomorrow) and I'll binge play the game like I'm sure I will this weekend with the exception of going to my brother for the fight on Saturday and then I'll probably start playing it again on Sunday until NXT comes on with The Great American Bash.

The articles are talking about the original delay and not a new one.
As for the topic at hand, since I will not be attempting any of the Extreme program SDS is kind of telling me to take a break since there will not be any new meaningful content for two weeks (Aug 9th)

This should be a fun one!Yeah I have a couple of bets in tonight in MLB that will hopefully hit if my brain worked today on some MoneyLine winners and picking the right guys to get 2+ bases so if one or both hit I might put something on Spence/Crawford fight, just need to figure out who knows more about that fight between my brother and cousin who have a bet between themselves on the fight... but yeah between these PPVs/PLEs and Extreme Program I shouldn't have a dull moment this weekend.

Yeah I just kept it simple tonight... I've hit similar MoneyLine bets for NBA and NFL before and I have come close with MLB... but this time I didn't do full schedule so hopefully I picked the right winners and then I can really cut loose and go for some big money
