Can’t swing, X for swing not working

This week, the game won’t swing. The only action while at the plate is bunting. I’ve tried a reset and checked updates. Tried pushing X button soft and hard and same, just can’t swing.

When pitch goes by, the batter just steps toward pitcher.

Hey maybe you’ve got your hitting set to analog sticks? Try changing your controller settings around within the game’s settings menu
