Grinding the June POTM Program
-
Hey everyone,
I’m grinding out the June POTM program and finished out all the moments and a few of the PXP missions. But now I have to get 3 saves and I don’t really want to play 27 innings of Play vs CPU just to get 5 stars. Which modes would you guys suggest to use to get the saves?

You can get the saves in Conquest.
I have a spreadsheet for that program to help map progress if you want to use it.
But, don't you have other missions to complete too? Can't you do both while you're grinding out your games? You can get saves with a relief pitcher going the last three innings when you're winning - the score doesn't matter, as long as your winning and they pitch the last three.

Play conquest on rookie , don't get a lead more than 3 runs , get your saves .

One problem with 3 inning games is that saves are hard to get because I score like 9 runs and that makes it not count as a save lol

Heh - not when you're at my skill level...I usually win by less than 4 runs. Usually, it's 1-0 - and that's on Veteran or All Star.

I need a HR with monthly awards players, 1,000 PXP with Blackmon, and 15 more innings with Monthly Awards pitchers

The Blackmon PXP will take at least a couple of 9 inning games. Get the saves while you get Blackmon's PXP.

Don’t worry man that was me last year! You just need to play online for a few hours and you’ll get better! Thanks for all the help

Dude - I'm 62. I play all day long. I'm old and slow
You don't need 1500 for Blackmon - I just looked at my spreadsheet because it didn't sound right. You only need 200 for him, which is still a couple of games for him. Also, 15 innings is 2 games. That's two saves right there.

Saves isn't required. I completed the program and did not get them. It looks like if you do all of the moments then you will be able to skip one of the 5 point stat missions.

Heh - I went the other way. I did the stat missions because they were easy to bang out, and I didn't want to sit and redo a few of the moments over and over.

Score two runs, than strikeout until over.

I usually hit and keep running till they tag me,while trying not to hit HRs.

I don't intentionally do it (in terms of getting a 1-3 lead) but as soon as I grab a 1-3 run lead (preferably in the first inning) I pull my starter in the 2nd inning (unless I need PXP or stats with him) and put in the pitcher that I'm going to use the rest of the way to get the save.
