Cards for players that are suspended typically get removed from packs (Ex. Trevor Bauer a year or two ago). People are stocking up in order to take advantage of completionists who will want the card even if he is in the free agent pool.

I think some people are still in 22 or 21 mindset. I don't see more than a handful of completionists this year. And if they were truly diehard they locked this card in back in April.

Once we enter the post-Shark Map era and the BR/RS Rewind era, cards will be a lot more affordable than before and they'll be more completionists than you think.
(The one thing killing me: that stupid batting glove in the Event).
