...going to any of the All Star weekend events in Seattle?
I am skipping the HBCU Swingman Classic tonight, but I will at everything else to include the Futures and Celebrity Softball game tomorrow, MLB Draft on Sunday, Homerun Derby on Monday and the All Star Game on Tuesday.

I haven't seen his name as a confirmed participant. But, like I said before...he's here in Seattle on the same day and he's played in the game before and who wouldn't want to see or have him in the game!
Of course, I am getting more and more excited about getting that 1989 ASG jersey signed by him! I have to get up super early so I can drive up to the autograph location so I can be one of the first in line and get myself back down to SoDo for the Futures game and get parking somewhat close to the ballpark.

Incredible. Just incredible brother what a score of a lifetime that would be. I hope and pray that you score that autograph man you had better let us all know. That’s all I’m going to think about tomorrow that’s going to be so exciting regardless

I paid for that autograph so it is a guarantee that I'll get it. I paid extra for the inscription "1989 ASG MVP" as well. I had to pay a bit for that jersey as well! But, I am pretty sure I could sell the jersey afterwards for maybe 4x the total cost I paid for it though. I don't know if I'll sell it though.

Haha!!! To me that game is a big memory for me. I grew up in SoCal (my cousin's house right down the street from the Big A), grew up a big fan of Bo in both baseball and football (LA Raiders one of the hometown teams), lead off homerun (President Reagan in the announcer's booth), and Bo was the MVP of the game but also had a great season that year.
I happen to have a 2001 All Star Game jersey signed by that year's ROY and MVP (but not the ASG MVP who has a plaque in the visitor's bullpen at T-Mobile Park). That one I got for an extraordinary price since I won it at a friends' church auction.

Bo said he was in town strictly for that autograph signing/photo ops, so we will not see him play in the Legends and Celebrities Softball game. That would have been fun but it ain't happening!

My sister lives out there but she doesn’t like baseball at all. She could be in the same coffee line with Shohei and Trout and wouldn’t know it was them. I should’ve made myself an uninvited guest since I don’t work and taken in the homerun derby. I saw the one at Fenway Park in 1999 that Junior won.

That is cool that you have been to one. I just saw Junior sitting a commercial for booking.com on the 300 level before the Futures Game. I can't wait for Monday to see the HRD.

Bo just had surgery recently to correct a hiccup problem. Apparently he had the hiccups for an entire year and needed surgery to correct it. That might be why he is not playing?

Man that sucks. I'm glad that he seems to be better. He seemed to be in good spirits during the autograph event (which was not a part of the ASG events). I heard someone there mention he had a recent surgery. The Celebrity Softball Game was a lot of fun. Ryan Howard and several former Mariners were the MLB legends.

Man, I suspect surgery would be his ONLY option in this case. I mean, I just get someone to startle them out of me but who alive could frighten Bo Jackson!?! Seriously does anyone remember seeing that poor old fellow on Johnny Carson who had hiccups for 50 years or something crazy like that? Worried me half to death when I was a kid

I read an article about this after I made my reply. Here's an awesome quote from Bo..."I have done everything — scare me, hang upside down, drink water, smell the [censored] of a porcupine".

Can I ask how much you had to pay for tickets to the HR Derby and All Star Game?
I live in Philly and we have the 2026 All Star game and I wanna go to either the HR Derby or ASG but I’m curious how the pricing for tickets look haha

Looks like they can still be obtained for under 300 which seems pretty darned fair considering the venue. In Philly it might be quite a bit more since just about everything else in the NE part of the USA certainly is.
MLB.com has links to all sorts of different ticket packages where you can attend other events, autograph sessions, etc also. That’s always your best bet when looking for anything baseball the site is one of the most seamless, well functioning and intuitive websites I’ve certainly ever come across

I am a season ticket member with the Mariners, so I was able to get my tickets early and with a small discount. My ticket bundle included two for the Futures Game (and the Celebrity Softball Game), two to the HRD, two to the ASG, and four for the Play Ball Park experience (basically two of the four days for my wife and I). For the games, I ended up in the "View Level" or "300 Level" which is some of the cheaper seats available. My pricing would not be a good reference for a single event. The post above may be a better guide for pricing a single event.

That would be a prime example of an excellent, excellent ticket package. In my opinion, the experience you glean from something like this isn’t quantifiable using monetary terms. Yes, it costs money (and decent little chunk at times), and I’m exchange you’re guaranteed to witness history….but you might just bear witness to something truly spectacular and being around this much talent on a single ball field there’s a very good chance indeed! If you get the chance at all you should go - it’ll be a cherished experience that no one could ever take away from you

It is quite the experience and I haven't even got to the HRD and ASG yet! Well worth the money I believe. The cost of the tickets don't include all the money being spent on parking, food, beverages, and souvenirs. Came across some of the The Show community...Ro-Flo, Littlemann17, and Ramone Russell...in the Play Ball Park yesterday. Looking forward to probably the most exciting part being tonight and tomorrow.
