You have to think it’s Degrom, right? Who else
could it be that would excite people after 99 RJ ( and Pedro from set 2 that was kind of “meh” ).

We already have the favorite closer 99 cards as well as a 99 Ryan/Verlander from set 2…..Can’t think of another pitcher they could do ( maybe Kluber but I think that would be a letdown)….

If they do a future stars program, because it’s set 3 and it’s traditional around this time, we could see a flashback buffed Edward Cabrera

True, most of the top relievers are in set 2; however, I don’t think Billy Wagner has a 99 yet. I consider him the best LH reliever, but I don’t want him locked behind collections. Also, now once set 2 ‘expires,’ Jansen, Rivera, Dibble, Chapman, etc. are all unusable; so I guess those who play year long will learn to like other relievers after season 3. I know there are others I haven’t listed.
They should allow us to bring one position player and one pitcher from past seasons instead of just the one. Just a thought.

    Best of luck to everyone.

Only set 1 is expiring this time around, set 2 and 3 will still be in use as far as I know, it's Nenn, Wilson, Gagne, Diaz, Williams and Lee Smith that expire out of the relievers

Halladay, cy young, degrom, cliff lee, alcantara are the only ones that come to mind that they can make cracked.

Yes, I am aware, that’s why I said after season 3. I was just saying how most of the 99 overall top popular relievers are in Set 2. So after season 3, when set 2 does expire, its unlikely they get a better card unless they do more than one 99.
Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for looking out though.

I hope they give Roy Halladay a card with better per9s than his card from last year. Though I used him anyway.

O yah that makes sense, I kind of figured thats what you meant as soon as i posted that. Fair enough. I think we may see the same names pop up in set 3 as well. I have a feeling some players may have upwards of 6 cards this year. Just look at Brandon Crawford who has 4 now.

If Set 3 started 2 days later, we could have had Future Stars Paul Skenes.

Guess we have to wait until Set 4.

Not saying they are exciting but those are the only ones i can think of that they’d give a cracked out 99 too. I’m sure I’m missing some

Sandy Koufax……….J/k. But that would get me more excited than a DeGrom card or a Kershaw on steroids.

Halladay, Wagner, DeGrom, Paige, new legends, and eventually a current year Finest could all be potential future set rewards.
