The Reds finally called up the most electric players in the minor leagues today, I’m about to be glued to my TV tonight for Elly’s first AB! So hyped.
I’m calling a ripped line drive for a single. Can’t wait to see what this kid can do in The Show! It’s a (surprisingly) great day to be a Reds fan.
Looks like he’s batting cleanup and playing 3B tonight. He’ll have his hands full with Gonsolin on the bump.

Hope he rips the Dodgers a new one and goes 5 for 5. Im still mad at them over the 1988 NLCS which my Mets should’ve won…but I can’t stay mad long when I think about Gibson’s epic blast in Game 1 of the WS…his only at bat. Man I friggin love baseball!
I’ll be listening on the MLB app think it’s a 7 or 730 start.
I’m 28 and this is the most hyped I’ve ever been for a Reds player debut. I hope you’re right, Gonsolin won’t be an easy debut but I’ve seen Elly in person in Louisville and he just looks different out there
I’ve watched him live myself! Not on purpose, mind you, but still yet I’ve seen him. He played ShortStop for the Lookouts and while visiting my cousin last year late July we popped in since they were playing the Smokies - the team from my hometown. It was a barn burner of a game. He didn’t do so hot at the plate but I gotta say he moved like a gazelle when fielding his position and his arm…..it’s a laser.
Won’t be long now! Only ever get one MLB debut and regardless of his performance it’ll be a night to remember. I really hope he kills it man - just for fans like yourself!

Your boy had a mighty fine debut…mighty fine! Anyone who didn’t get a chance yet to see this double really should take the time to watch it….literally one second there’s a fastball up and in and the next nanosecond the ball is vaporized. I just can’t stop looping the replay it’s like the baseball disintegrates!

Growing up as an Eric Davis fan, it was nice to see another future star, and special athlete, represent the Reds #44. Elly De La Cruz and O'Neil Cruz, are going to be fun to watch in the NL Central.
