I don't understand these at all.
Spencer Strider is promoted to a 91, but there is no increase at all for 81 Sonny Gray? I know they're supposedly looking at a 3-year cycle, but c'mon. Doesn't sit right. There is zero logic Jazz is still an 85 enough said, don’t bother using logic when looking at the updates this game is flawed in so many ways
Yeah, their apparent plan is to just ignore Jazz so he can stay a diamond. He has not been a part of any roster update at all yet.
His ISO is .174 compared to last years .282 but no power stat decreases
His SO% has gone up from 27.4 last year to 32.7 this year
His BB% has gone down from 8.7 to 7.6
Yet his vision and discipline remain untouched. And lets talk about that 90 Clutch rating
He is batting .191 with 2 outs and runners in scoring position
He is batting .160 in games that are Late and Close
He is batting .179 in Tie games.
He is hitting .095 in High leverage situations
He is hitting .233 in Medium Leverage situations
He is batting .280 of low leverage situationsDoes any of that shout "I am a 90 clutch batter"
-
Sounds very clutch for his opponents.

They don’t go off of a 3 year period anymore. They started hardcore bumping guys here in the last couple years. Vlad Jr. started at like a 75 silver in 2021 and ended up being around an 87/88 to end the year (maybe higher). He did have a great year, but his 2 seasons before weren’t nothing crazy.

If they really go by the 3 year metric for players is Bo Bichette's defense that bad to keep him in Gold? I am honestly asking because I don't watch a ton of baseball, but he's been one of the best hitters the last 3 years and he's raking it again this year.
Yeah, it's that bad unfortunately

Why do you think being a Yankees card would get him boosted? If you said a Padre, that would make more sense since that’s their team.

You joined the forums in 19, how can you not see what's going on? Have you been paying any attention at all?
If you don't understand, then don't worry about it I guess.

Just got back from a hike and decided to look at the Yankees roster vs the Padres roster.
The Padres look fairly accurate to me. I am a Giants fan, so I have no reason to take their side in any argument.
Now look at the Yankees.
Rodon being a diamond? He was back and forth between diamond and gold with the Giants last year, but was mostly on the gold side. This year he hasn't played but got increased to an 86 diamond.
Gleyber Torres is gold. He certainly isn't gold irl, nor has he ever been.
Jose Trevino, should be a very low silver or high bronze at best but he's gold.
Higashioka is barely batting above. 200 not just this season but for his career, and has no power even though he plays in that homerun centric park in New York.
Cabrera, this dude should be a common card but since he is a Yankee he gets to be silver.
There is a huge amount of favoritism towards the Yankees on this game. It's very easy to see if you just open your eyes.

Rodon has yet to play for The Yankees or this season at all do to being injured. I am not going to call you or your team any names, I am too old; however, in DD they will not upgrade or downgrade a player on the DL/IL. So Rodon is diamond because of what he has done prior to being a Yankee.
I agree that some of the ratings make no sense, but that sure is not limited to The Yankees.
I understand you are just answering my question, and you have the right to your opinion and I respect that. -

Kind of ruins your argument.

They still use the previous 3 years. Any adjustments from the end year rating are likely due to the previous year being 50% of the rating and one season being dropped off for rating purposes. I’ll use Rodon since he’s in the last comment. For 2022 he had 2019-2021 to make his card and adjustments from 2022 is where you got his end season rating. His 2023 card is based off 2020-2022 and drops 2019.
