Companion App Bug and Suspicious Market Activity
-
I was on the companion app and sorted my inventory by duplicates to sell off a few on a break from work. It showed like 6 63 ovr free agents above my silvers and bronzes. 3 of them showed with gold badges despite being commons, and when I clicked on them they had buy orders for nearly 1,000 stubs and the app said I could quicksell one card for 1,000 stubs. When I did quicksell it only gave the standard 5 stubs, but it seems something is glitched on some of these low overall free agents
-
Yes. I just noticed that cards are now listed as bronze even though they should diamonds. No rhyme or reason to it. Someone else mentioned this a few hours ago in the market forum.
-
I just refreshed my inventory and 3 more common free agent relievers are golds and selling for 1000 stubs. I’m nervous to sell them even though I only have like 3-4 dupes
-
I wouldn’t but go for it.
-
Yeah it’s weird they’re being pushed to the top of my inventory though
-
If they could have one update without breaking something, that would be great.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Their code is held together by duck tape, paper clips, and a prayer.
-
Its a glitch. People selling some of the commons for quick sell value of Golds. Its all over twitch right now.. There are few common free agents mostly 62/63s going for 4k quick sell value of a Diamond.
-
Yeah my 99 jazz now has a bronze badge too. I knew he’s having a down year but a bronze lol
-
Easy 30k this morning. How'd you all do?

Right from the terms of service at https://theshow.com/mlb-the-show-online-code-of-conduct/
You may not cheat, exploit or use any bugs, glitches, vulnerabilities or unintentional game mechanics in PlayStation Network or any of its products or services to obtain an unfair advantage.
They probably won't ban anyone for this, but you never know. Just fair warning.
I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but don't want anyone to get hurt, either. -
Looks like any 64 or 59 common that is on an All Gold Mini-Season roster has been given a gold badge and quick sells for 1k.

The individual users are not necessarily doing anything to glitch or exploit the game. Like I only found it because I wanted to sell some duplicates and the app was filtering random common cards to the top of my inventory
-
Knowing SDS they will ban users for doing this though. I wouldn't

True, but with all the backlash for the no sell rewards they might need to take this one on the chin for PR reasons. Banning Timmy and Jimmy cause they made 25k stubs off of their own mistake might not be worth it

Highly unlikely... With the amount of people have done this today they would knock out a high portion of their hardcore base if they did. Might as well shut down for the year if they do.
-
I just went and looked in my inventory and I see all my golds showing as commons. Don't see any commons showing as anything else though
EDIT: NVM found all the commons showing as golds. This is wild lol
-
Most of the Commons as golds are Free agents...
-
Eh not worth it fellas. Getting banned for 20-30k stubbs, or potentially banned anyways. That's like 20 bucks in stubbs, nah im good lol
-
I'm guessing that if this isn't solved quick it's going to screw the entire market up?
