Who is going to be May's lightning player?
-
There are a few really good options. Jorge Soler with his 12 HRs, Freddie Freeman had 25 RBIs, Bichette has been hitting all month.
Of course Judge and Yordan did their thing.
Pitchers- Jon Gray was super solid for the Rangers.

Ronald Acuna jr

Hopefully Acuna
-
Position players:
Acuna cooled off a lot in the 2nd half. I would have given Bichette a chance, but he had a MA in 2022, so maybe they don't go that route. Freeman had a monster month, but he already has a big WBC card. I'll go outlier and say either Lane Thomas or Santander (I love switch hitters).
Pitchers:
Like @Ericulous1_PSN said, Jon Gray had a great month for the Rangers, but Eovaldi was even better I think you have to look for Doval to get a card. 11 saves and a .71 ERA in May... yikes. Diaz was also great for the Reds.

I'd like to see Keller get a henchman card but that may be wishful thinking
-
I find it interesting that people still believe that players like Judge and Acuna are even in consideration. SDS proved last year that they are not interested in giving it to players who are highly desired and whose best cards will be expensive. Maybe they change that up this year because of sets but I doubt it. They can give those two 99 overall cards, toss them in a Diamond Duos packs and get people to spend a ton of stubs trying to get them.
That said Acuna's month of May was good but probably not lightning worthy.

God, Rangers fans must be loving the ride right now. @SaveFarris_PSN - am I right??
Yeah I thought of that with Bichette, plus Chapman just got one so they might wanna mix up the teams. I think Freeman would be a well received choice

I'm bracing myself for the inevitable disappointment (though I am excited about the Nate Lowe bobblehead I'm getting this weekend!)

Count me in for Judge

Freddie Freeman

Ronald Acuna Jr

Retro Lightning Will Clark?

We just unloaded 649 cartons of DeGrom bobble heads going to the Texas Rangers for a June giveaway. That was over 15K bobble heads so be in the lookout

Wearing the City Connect Jersey, though?

Marcus Semien. Hitting .481 with Runners in Scoring Position.

Lordes Gurriel is 2nd to only Judge in slugging. Also Luis Robert is a good candidate. They will definitely get cards.
-
Frederick Charles Freeman

Eovaldi would be a strong candidate
