I've been playing the game since the first week it came out, anywhere from 2-4 hours a day. Every single Dynamic Duo pack I've pulled has given me nothing but average cards, none of the special ones. Out of the hundreds of regular packs and Ballin' Is A Habit packs I've earned, I've pulled three expensive live series cards. I've been trying to finish every program, online and off, and I still have not earned enough stubs to finish the Live series two months into the game, let alone purchase the cards I've never been able to get from the card packs. There are dozens of cards it seems you can only get from luck of the pack pulls or buying in the Community Market. And since I'm not getting the cards from the packs OR earning enough stubs to buy those cards, I'm not really sure what to do. On principle, I refuse to buy stubs and have never needed to in past years. But they've made it very hard to get the cards you need and/or want. It's ridiculous. They should either give better cards in the packs or find quicker ways to earn more stubs. Making people pay actual money to get the cards is a non-starter for me.

I personally don’t do this because it’s time consuming & I’m just too lazy but you can make a ton of stubs by flipping cards.

That's quite good; I've pulled only one pricey LS card this year, and I play just as much as you do.

The new XP loop has turned the program into a stub factory. I sold my first boss pick for like 65K and my second for 45K. By the time this program is over, I’ll have either gotten more boss packs from the loop, or so many other people will have gotten them and the prices will likely drop to 20K or so. You can sell and rebuy ( or re-earn) with enormous profit margins this year.

My pack luck has been rotten. Purple diamonds galore. Nothing higher than a gold from duo packs and I’m not one to spend time playing the market to flip cards. I would say compared to years past the odds of decent pulls has dropped but it could just be me.

I don’t buy stubs, and I don’t buy packs so I just sort of go with the flow. When it comes down to it you know SDS wants those stub sales, it’s their cash cow like every other sports game.

I got to the Loop on the 1st Section of the season a number of times, but only got new cards. I never got doubles of expensive cards. And I don't have the time or energy to spend a bunch of time flipping cards, nor does it seem like that should be necessary to get cards in the game. That said, I still go on the site to sell all my cards and get better prices than the instant (tax-free) sales in the game. I even resent having to do that, though, because it's time-consuming and not really "about" playing the game.

Yeah if you pulled 3 expensive live series already then you are doing way better than most people I think. I haven't pulled anything above the lowest level diamond live series. But the pack odds are what they are, so it's not surprising.

The only money to be made flipping is in the silver and low gold tiers where the buy now and sell now have larger separation and the tax is much more manageable. Otherwise it’s investments.

Learn to invest and you’ll find yourself being able to make good stub capital to help with these tasks
