Very small gripe on Incog. names

Every year, I assemble a team of Montreal Expos Alumni. I was excited to see Tim Raines added this year. Now, not only do I have to play with an Andre Dawson card with the wrong jersey number (which I still hope they will fix eventually) but now I have to deal with a Tim Raines card with no last name on his jersey and the Rock name. smh

SDS must have hired some 13 year old steamer to come up with this [censored]. I really can’t imagine a grown man going into a meeting to pitch this idea. I’ve never thought “you know what this game needs. Giant monsters, unsearchable nickname players and unsellable players I spent at least 12 hours grinding to get”. This is the worst of the worst ideas SDS has ever had. And I mean worse than 2018’s Immortal cards.

And now if I want to buy a card on the market, I have to learn stupid nicknames? Good grief.
You dont really have to learn anyones name. Go in your inventory, scroll over to the team you wanna search for, press L2/R2 to go to flashbacks and find the card you wanna buy.

Yeah it really is over the top, at LEAST take the incog names out of the lineups, matchups

I Agee. It would be one thing for the announcers to refer to them that way (as long as it isn’t every at bat like Muncy), but they should not be in the box score or market that way. Half of these names are so obscure that I have no clue who they are by the nickname.
I love Max Muncy, but I HATE it when the announcer says "that funky Muncy." I never hear that nickname when I watch him play baseball. Every time Muncy comes up I fear that he will say it. Does anyone enjoy it?
It's pretty funny a few times, not all the time. You know, the whole Beastie Boys brass Monkey thing.

I thought I could live with the nicknames, but when there is no name on the scoreboard (not even the nickname), then it's time to give it a rest.

SDS can you please just leave the nicknames on the card and NOT have it be their actual names?
Looks childish and bootleg-ish seeing the Incog names on the lineup screens and matchups
i completely agree mate - last night im up against Buck Wild, Silver Strider, Chuck McGoo, Pingu, stuff is kids nonsense

It's so weird, it effects EVERY part of the player as well, no name on back of jersey, matchup bar, scoreboard, lineup, box score...even in the field when you get a ground or fly ball there is no name there. SDS didn't think this one through

First game I played with one of these cards, not knowing all this, I thought my game was glitched because the players spot was blank in the lineup
-
I would expect this in a game like SMB, but The Show which is supposed to be “simulation”, not so much.
I like when the do the Jackie Robinson day and everyone wears 42 with no name, but I don’t want to see a team lineup that looks like a grade three spelling list. I don’t want to see a booger hitting cleanup.

I'm pretty sure there are some very funny unknown nicknames in MLB atm.
'Onion breff' could be one.
Scherzer may be called 'Two-eyed,' but for a different reason.
Really skinny players may be called 'Meal Misser,' or 'Have A Few Shakes,' (ya skinny bastid)🤪
Or even '6 o'clock,' which Chiris Sale should be known as, for being so skinny.
Someone could be a pitching 'Rubber Chewer,' or something if a pitcher likes chewing on the pitching rubber.
Aaron Boone could be 'Gum Flinger,' if there were MGR cards.
There can even be a clean freak in MLB who is called 'Hand Sanitizer' because of it.
SDS has just reached the tip of the iceberg with these!

First time playing today since name update. This has to be the smallest game update that makes me the most upset with the game! Literally no body asked for this and seeing no names in the in-game menu and scoreboards makes the games appearance terrible. I beg of you, please revert this back to the normal names!! A quick poll would probably have been smarter to do instead of making this change... especially since it was executed so poorly.

100% agree with you - i find it so annoying and childish - i tried to forget about it today in RS - have a great weekend over there
