Transferring data from a PS4 to a PS5

Do I need to do this part? I thought, in order to play this game on the PS5, I just had to download the PS5 version.

What benefit is there to transferring data? And what exactly does it transfer?

for MLB the show, only if you have franchise, rtts or mto files . settings are the only other file.

Don't have any franchise, RTTS, or MTO files. But you're saying it will transfer over my batting, pitching, and fielding settings?

I had to manually change them as I didn't do the transfer process.

Also, how do I find any screenshots I saved?

I dont think it transfers setting, you will have to re set those.

Also if you upload your data to the cloud from PS4 you can download from the cloud on PS5. At least thats how I synced Xbox and Playstation stuff.
