Taking a break
-
Season 1 I had a 25-5 record.
Season 2 I am 5-5 with an almost 11 ERA. I am quitting after being down 15 runs in 4 innings.I have lost all enjoyment in the game. I’ve never felt so hopeless in a video game…ever. No matter what I seem to do, it’s a homerun hit against me. Hopefully these guys that their worst hitter hitting .470 will be up sweating against the Twitch streamers at World Series/Legend in a few weeks.

Not sure why anyone would take issue with the post. If you are not enjoying the game then the logical thing to do is to take a break.
I will respect that approach, definitely over the opposite approach of not enjoying the game, still playing it daily and constantly complaining on the forum whenever you lose.

I’m right there with you. Taking a break from Ranked and Events at least. I still enjoy the TA grind and BR is always enjoyable. But the other two are just too much right now.
-
Don’t forget that during season one you start with a rating of zero and after that you are starting somewhere higher than that. Theoretically if you were placed somewhat accurately, a .500 record probably wouldn’t be too far off. I think I am 3-2 this season and got drilled my first two games.
-
I had a 22-0 record in season 1 and then I lost 6 games in a row at one point and thought I forgot how to hit. Took some days off and back to it. Won 12 games in one entry in events and started the win streak back. Season 2 I am off to 3-0 on HOF last game scoring 11 runs by the 6th inning. Sometimes taking a few days off can be beneficial.

Totally understand this, this game can be completely frustrating at times and make you wonder why you ever put money towards it, when I feel like that I take breaks from it and i don't even play online much so i'm sure the frustration is amplified.
Recently i've been playing through Jedi Survivor (highly recommended) and the remake of Dead Space.

Also you may be facing a lot of top 50 players that got their rating reset to 192 I believe, so maybe wait a few days until that’s fixed.

Not taking issue at all .. just sayin any bad review of this game here gets the trolls fired up

He didn't criticize the game though, just said he's been running into those players that hit everything.
To the OP,a few days is a good idea, hope you get the enjoyment back. -

There is nothing wrong with taking a break. It is myopic to think an announcement needs to be made.

As others have already pointed out…Season one you start at the bottom of the barrel where you are matched up with people who REALLY struggle with the game. So it’s not uncommon to come out wrecking people. But now you’re starting out where others who were around the same rank as you last season so it’s alot more evenly matched opponents, So it makes sense to be around .500…I believe I started 20-0 and now I’m 60-40…So take away the 20 games against window lickers & I’m .500 as well…Totally normal & how the game is designed.
Take 2 full days off & play some Halo or whatever. Don’t log on for anything. Then come back after 48 hours & you’ll feel refreshed & play better. You got this!

I am in KC. Happens a lot when I get matched against a east or west coast opponent which is too frequent imo. Simply can't throw a pitch to them. They touch the ball and it is a hit. Got matched against a west coast opponent last night and he was 5/5 on good swings, I was 0/6 at one point. I had zero chance to compete in that game.
I'm probably gonna jump back on to PUBG this weekend. I don't mind losing but matching against coast opponents makes the game not fun. Just got Verlander, Seager and Mantle too so wanted to play with them a lot this weekend.

True. Big difference in starting out at the bottom and playing HOF+ caliber players.

Not a lot of talent in the flyover states.

I left for Vacay on 5/12 3pm so I'm on a forced break I guess. I was kinda upset at 1st because it's my wife's fault(but that's just between us) that our vacation got pushed bk a week. but after laying on the beach ️ for a week & not worrying about my squad I really think it was the best thing for me. plus making the WS & BR packs no sell I don't have to race to finish & Starting bk up Rnk seasons could work to my benefit as well.

last year i was 36-1 in RS ok
this year i am 4-2 - last night i lost 2 in a row in the 200's LOL - how can i be so mad that is absurd - the first game i was down 6-0 in the 1st [censored] inning - PSA - NEVER USE RUBE PITCHER HORRIBLE IDEA - i stayed in the game - i wound up tying 8-8 in the bottom of the 9th - i lost in the 10th by 1 run - ok whatever [censored] right
i jump into another game - i lost 5-4 to a great player - we both hit a ton but i couldn't pull the trigger on more runs -
all that being said - do i come on this forum making a thread about "TAKING A BREAK CAN"T EMOTIONALLY HANDLE THIS"
just take a deep breath and realize what is important in life ok - grow up is what i am saying in different ways
