How do you turn off wildcard?

I'm trying to make a team of topps now players and everytime I subitute someone out they make him a wildcard and I can't add ppl to my team cause it makes them a wildcard and my other guy disappears?

Hi there! Your current squad is still labeled "S1" in the manage squad screen. You will need to delete the squad and create a new S2 eligible squad.

So if we do this set 1 and 2 can play together without the wildcard? Also will the S1 team captain boost a S2 player?

Also I'm assuming there will be another Phillies S2 hitting captain?
