This is the only option for sports games for me. I’d rather fire up my Sega Genesis and play Tecmo Bowl than any Madden game the last several years and basketball sucks. Don’t get me wrong, I play other games, but this isn’t a forum for other games.
This guy feels it. Madden has got to be the worst experience that makes millions (billions) in the entire world of sports games. FIFA (or whatever it's gonna be called) isn't far behind but Madden is less fun than playing Tecmo Bowl. I wish I still had a version to fire up. Great analogy.
I'm also with you about the fact MLB the Show is likely the best (most fun anyway) sports game. I've never played NBA or NHL.
I don't believe SDS is even close to as obsessed as EA is with microtrans. I mean, I haven't purchased a pack this year and still have about 40 sitting in my queue and no real inclination to start popping them open. Sincere kudos to 'da Show there.And, tbh, these guys have created a forum that truly allows folks to gripe and complain on occasion. EA has pretty much put a moratorium on anything even slightly critical of their games. Even suggest there is something "odd" going on in the code and they will shut you down in a heartbeat. Censorship is for fascists and those that have sucky products.
So, I'm probably going to keep purchasing this game and enjoying it more than not. It's the intangibles that matter.
