Am I the only one that feels both pitching and hitting is in a horrible state right now

To the point where I'm wondering why I'm even playing this game so much when pitching and hitting is so unrewarding and the only thing being rewarded are cheap very early homers or late down the line hits. I feel like I'm batting at best. 200 on perfect perfects and I feel like every squared up good contact is an automatic out unless you get slightly under and hit a homer. The pitching may be even worse it feels like no skill is involved and its basically random where it goes. Perfect time and release on the edges always seem to be balls than if you are not perfect than its usually a meatball down the middle.
I wish SDS would do their jobs and fix their game but if the past iterations have shown us anything that's not likely to happen.

It does depend on the difficulty that you are on. I've noticed the higher your difficulty setting the more outs you will make on perfect perfects

I don't know , but my opponents seem to be able to dot me with perfect pitches and I barely get one perfect pitch per match . Maybe it's my controller. Idk . Hitting and pitching seem to be working for my opponents.

In fairness I hit a lot of PP that are low pitches and my PCI is about level with the ball so it's either a linedrive or even a groundball.....I don't know what OP hit but in my experience I like low pitches so I'm more inclined to PP singles and doubles

To me the hitting is not the problem this year. It’s just way to easy to hit your spots when pitching. I know I’m in the minority here as I play against the CPU (franchise), but it’s just way to easy to suppress the CPU’s offense

Hitting is purely about pitch selection now. No longer will a perfect perfect on a sinker on the outside corner lead to a home run, as per really baseball likely a hard out. Similar to balls outside the strike zone.
If you are not patient and wait for mistake pitch and swing at everything you will struggle with hitting in this game. People used to hitting home runs swinging at balls in the dirt because they were perfect perfect will need to get better at pitch selection and learn to take walks.
I was there this changed everything once I got selective
