Stuck in a moment… and you can’t get out of it?

I wonder if this thread works for Showdown because WBC Showdown wore me out this weekend... even had one run that I made it all the way to the Final Showdown and only managed to tie the game 14-14... I feel like you should get awarded extra outs anytime you tie the game... I was beyond frustrated especially since this was for my NMS team and beating things like Showdown and Conquest earn huge points and most likely make the gring a little easier... guess I'll see what I can complete between now and the 12th and given that most of this stuff doesn't expire or expires at end of year (I think Lefty Loosey is first thing to expire on 7/7) it's not that big of a deal but I would like to field a No Money Spent team and see how they stack up in Ranked Seasons.

They gave us a Howard with great numbers across the board. He can get the job done.

Yeah, that one took awhile. Wasn't helped by Wainwright clipping the bottom of the strike zone if your were lucky.

Same here, i struggle to hit home runs with Mays cards, every hit is hard just on the ground or off the wall. Got that one on my 7th or 8th try. Howard wasn't that bad once i had some patience, it's bases loaded Wainwright has to throw a hittable pitch at least once.

Use the anchor and place it down and sit on a curve or slider. He’s a solid low ball hitter. That worked for me.

The mays moment took me about 5 or so tries. Eventually hit one that I didn’t think would go, but it went out.
My point in the original post is why does SDS do stuff like this? There are literally dozens of Rockies/Nationals/Reds pitchers they could have put out there that would throw something reasonable that you could hit out in a reasonable amount of attempts
Heck, there are a bunch of Cardinals pitchers they could have chosen.
Instead, they pick the one dude that is unique in the junk he throws. It’s just unnecessary.
So, instead of enjoying the moment and recreating his 7th GS, I’m left frustrated and cursing and glad to get the dang thing done. Whenever I finish it.
Again, set up to fail. Not set up for success. Just not necessary.

I mean it seems obvious that they want some of them to be a challenge. HR moments are almost always against pitchers primary pitch is an offspeed pitch or at least a sinker.

Alejandro Kirk...that moment no longer exists. Hit a dinger with a dude with 72 power vs. lefties and God forbid you're still there in the late innings when they put a rightie in and its 68. I'd love to see the video of the guy that thought this one was a good moment completing it.

Update... this thread also works for Showdown... I locked in last night on the WBC Showdown and got it done after about 5 tries... I screwed up baserunning on like 2 of those tries though and then another one I drafted Trea Turner with my last draft pick but forgot to "Manage Squad" to get him in the game... another try I ended up getting Urias as one of the pitchers but forgot to set my lineup using the vs Left attributes and yeah it didn't go so good but on the run that I beat the Final Showdown I didn't get Urias... MUST PICKS for WBC Showdown are: Randy Arozarena, Trea Turner and Tyler O'Neill for sure! If you can get 125 Power guys like Trout and I believe there is a guy from Japan (or Korea)... oh and if you can get a Supercharged player in the Gold round take him... oh and Starling Marte is another good pick for stealing bases.

My moment today was Chapman from MA, first ab lined it past third just fair all the way to the corner, announcer says for extra bases,calls it a double as I'm pulling into second only to realize Kirk is already standing there( wasn't paying attention and didn't realize there was a runner) next 3 abs and all 4 of next attempt,I couldn't get it out of the infield.
ended there cause I only need a couple moments to get to the first pack and start pxp missions so I moved on to other moments. -
Hank Thompson, how do i homer with this guy in this park?! Pitcher won't throw strikes (i know shocker) perfect perfects don't get out, now on my 11th attempt.
Finally got it, I swear this works lol, every time. I personally love this thread.

I actually hit a home run with both Yastremski and even more supriseingly Keith Hernandez on the 3rd pitch for both (i've been know to struggle mightily with his moments, some taking me hours)
