Still too much RNG

I've had it go both ways, games where I've won by 7-8 runs and didn't play well and others where I've gone 1 for 5 on perfect perfects and lost to someone 150 points lower than me. We need to go back to the 2013 days when user input was king. At least make another game mode where RNG is marginal

Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Had a game in forever event yesterday where SDS AI decided it would be the player of the game for the other guy. Opponent was a decent hitter but would chase fastballs up and out of the zone, so with two out in the inning and a scoreless game threw what would have been strike three, but SDS AI said "nope. you really wanted to give up a no doubt homer" and the pitch was good/good and went literally in the middle of the zone for a free home run.
Next inning, runner on first, nobody out and he hits a routine grounder to my diamond rated defender that should have been a double play that he magically booted to put runners on first and second and I knew that I had lost the pre game sim and nothing I did was going to change that and left the game.

As the OP said, I have without a doubt had it go both ways this year. It has seemed to be way worse in BR and Events than in Ranked. It seems that momentum, pitcher confidence, etc. can be really hard to overcome this year…once the train starts rolling, it just seems like it doesn’t often come back the other direction.

It's not RNG when I win but it is when I don't.
I agree there seems to be some scripted [censored] in the game though. But then I see guys with records of 21-3 and think I just suck.

How does the pre determined win RNG work in a 3v3 Ranked Co-op game?

Gotta say this event was a blood bath for me. To the tune of a 25-67 event record I don’t feel like I’m that bad of a player but for sure this event killed my confidence. The road to 25 wins is brutal. But the RNG is clear as day on most of them. Like my fielders all of a sudden miss everything and pitches start coming in at what seems like HOF or Legend speed. Not like that every game, but it really does seem pre-scripted or something.

OK. I will answer the question. I have in fact won games on it. Last week I won a game when I had runners on first and second. I hit one to the gap,
fielder cut the ball off quickly and I stopped at what should have been bases loaded, but despite me not touching a button my runner rounded third and scored because the player accidentally threw to first base instead of second there was no time for that person to recover and throw me out.
I would say about 20% of my wins come from this type of stuff. Guys I can't touch at the plate, but somehow hit that come from behind homer happen.
If you cannot see this game is very scripted then you either are a top tier player where it doesn't matter and still win, or an SDS apologist.

Lol people so passionately argue about stuff they know nothing about everyday on here. The thought that a simple concept like RNG that helped build video games is used in the MLB video is just to much for there little hearts and tiny brains.

It's more about the people complaining about predetermined outcomes and blaming it on RNG. Or DDA for RNG. If the game didn't have RNG it be freaking sentient and then we're all screwed! LOL
