does hits, PA, strikeout etc continue to count

I recall last year in RTTS for program stars, say you enter a game 1 hit away for 3 star and you go 3-4 the program would count your first hit and not count the next 2 until you return to club house which was frustrating to do constantly and if you werent sure on number of hits left etc yu could end up playing those 6 game AA or AAA series and not receive much. I am wondering is this still the case where I should going back to clubhouse? I dont mind as much for example like above if the rest of my hits that game dont count, but the rest of the series should, thanks !!

I go full series and get everything. Depending what I'm playing as I can get a full program inside of three series.

Usually I'm on diamond by the all-star break on the 2 ways.
