Hey SDS please tone the home runs down cause it’s unbelievably ridiculous. Your game is already $60 so I’m not going to spend $100+ on stubs to buy all 99 players cause that’s clearly what you want with this bs game.. 90% of the players are unusable and all I see in online play is teams with the exact same players.. is this really what the game has come to? Kinda boring when you face the exact same 99 players every game online..
90% of the pitches in the zone get hit for home runs.. no matter what. If it’s in the zone 90% of the time it’s going to be a home run. I was using 97 lee smith and people online are very early on 100+mph pitches and they’re still hitting home runs. Every pitch way out of the zone is fouled off until you’re forced to pitch in the zone and it’s an automatic home run given even if it’s in the corner and the person is late on it.
I remember in older versions of mlb the show you could use all sorts of cards like golds and silvers and have some degree of success and you had to actually think to build out a team. Now 90% of the cards are unusable and every team is full of 99 players already. I used to use the daily matchup boosted players to build competitive teams and now I don’t even care for it cause all those players are unusable cause all you’re facing is 99 players.
If you try and use a low diamond or gold pitcher it’s automatic home runs if any pitch is in the zone no matter what and that’s just ridiculous. It’s not like I’m just throwing the pitch down the middle.
I’ve been playing this game for years and am not a bad player but this years game is beyond ridiculous with the home run rate. Of course I’m hitting my share of home runs but all this game is home run or contact out no matter how you pitch.
Is the excuse really everybody’s eye is otherworldly?? I say absolutely not. The game has been tuned to allowing way too many home runs and for contact to be made so easily that pitching is completely irrelevant at this point.

Oh, someone gave up a bunch of bombs to an all 99 squad that their opponent obviously spent hundreds of dollars to get. So the game sucks.

People complain about facing teams with the same cards all year every year. The fact that the cards are 99s this year is irrelevant. If there is a best in slot card for a position, people are going to use it, period. People make the same [censored] argument every year.

People will complain, if a streamer loses its tye game or the opponent is cheating. I think some streamers are the cause of a lot of the issues in this community. Their input shouldn’t matter, due to them being a small percentage and of the player base.

What division are you in?
I can assure you, only the ridiculously good players at hitting are very successful in hitting homeruns at a 90% rate.
Also, you're probably easily predictable with your pitches. I'm an above average player, and a former D1 baseball player in college. I'm fairly good at predicting how ppl will pitch me when I face them.I faced a guy online, he pitched the boosted Satchel. It took me 3 total pitches to figure out how he was trying to pitch me.
Up and in 103 mph fastballs and offspeed in the dirt......
I didng swing at his balls in the dirt. All I focused on was his 103 mph FB and cheating inside/inside high.
What do you think happened? I smashed 5 homerins literally out of 8 batters I faced and well, he rage quitted.....
Maybe don't be too predictable? Lee Smith has a nice fb, but he also has a good forkball and cutter. Mix things up. Try thinking 2 steps ahead.
Btw, Kyle and Littleman started a no money spent team. They're still killing the ball. Why? Well they're really good at hitting...
