The devs that "interact" with the community are a joke and that's being generous. It is what it is. No real change will occur even if the community pushes for it. They should want to interact with the good portion of the the community. I understand not everyone deserves their time with certain troll posts, but at least a 1/3 of the legit questions and posts could VERY quickly be answered by a dev. Each year has gotten worse too.

If I were a dev I'd stay as far away from these forums as possible.

It's their job. Simple as that.

Why would a devs job be interacting with people? Maybe you don't know what dev is short for I guess.

So there aren't devs that are community managers?? Im not saying every developer is tasked with working with the community but some are. Or maybe I'm just too dumb ya know

I would just imagine they are separate jobs. But who knows

You're probably right.. When I say devs I actually mean the employees that interact with us on here and other social media. I've just heard them refer to them as devs on stream but maybe they are just community managers. I wouldn't expect a game developer/ coder to give any of us the time of day. Thats def not their job lol. Either way, thats who I am referring to.

Similar to "content creators", they should vet and assign a community manager in an unpaid capacity to assist with stuff.

Almost every game I've been involved with over the last 25 years has done just that.

With all the complaints going around the forums, whether it be hitting, pitching, fielding, etc., you never see a single community manager, moderator, or developer commenting on any thread. Even if it's a simple question that a developer could answer, you never see one.

I just don't understand how on their own community forums, we are all left to complain within ourselves. I understand chances are they look at the forum and certain threads, but i remember last year and especially in 18, you would see threads with developers commenting all the time, even if it was mostly Victor or Colin. Is the toxicity that drove them away? Toxicity of complaints would not be such a problem if they actually were transparent enough to tell us things outside of twitter.
    Thoughts?

Well, most of the complaints are garbage...it would potentially be good to have a moderator to remove the garbage posts...but then there will be complaints about censorship or whatever, and it'll be the same thing with a different name.

Then, when they do post, people get pretty pissed at them, so the toxicity would go on. I've never had an issue getting response from them when I really need one, such as purchase issues or something, but if they're getting the 1000th email telling them that their game sucks when it clearly does not, then there's nothing they can really do. The player base needs to take responsibility and stop crying so much (obviously not everyone, but there are players who seem to get on every post to express their misguided disdain).

its called thick skin of customer service. Everyone who complains here, has paid for the game at least 60 dollars. So, they are entitled to be heard, and complain, no matter how baseless the complain or argument may be. Their JOB is offer a response and/or some sort of satisfaction to ease their customer bad mood, frustration and any other. No one should be disrespected for offering a response to a complain, don't get me wrong, but precisely to avoid further confrontation or baseless, fruitless discussions, they need to have thicker skin, respond politely and truthfully, (not a random scripted response that shows no actual interest or listening of the complain) and mitigate the conflict. To fight, you need at least 2.

    I read almost everything.

Then why don't you fix the hitting? Why does H2H gameplay reward bad swings and penalize good ones? Here and there is acceptable, but it occurs 75% of the time.

There are plenty of chances per AB to justify an out, not leaving the user feeling cheated by his input. 90% of foul balls in this game are terrible swings and could easily be switched to penalize.

Enough people complain about the poor contact results. It's not like you don't have the ability or is so complex of a task.

Adjust the sliders on the foul balls to be decreased and increase the solid human hits. It's literally that simple.

If I were a developer, the LAST thing I'd do is interact with the people in this forum.

While it's not as bad as EA, some of you are:

    -entitled, whiny brats
-helpless fools who cannot figure anything out
-miserable people who like to complain
-idealists to the point of insanity.

You are your own worst enemy. Nobody will engage you if you're like that. In regular life or in a forum, people just won't like you. Sorry to break your snowflake hearts but it's true

Dud,e that's cause the developers are looking and laughing at all the people complaining about the fielding being bad, which its totally fine....I've never seen an outfielder not play a ball properly. Or pitch speeds being too fast, which it should be a bit faster.

The fielding has sucked donkey balls in this game for 4 years now. Da heck? Bad jumps, the whole asinine double take jumps even tho yer a diamond fielder. Taking yer sweet time ta get to the ball...grab it. Pause for a picture then throw it. Stahp it. It's the exact same as it has been and I can literally type on for an hour.

That's based on the player's attributes you DD casual...you want every fielder to be a gold glover?..that's not how a game based on Simulation baseball works...if you want that simplicity go play RBI baseball instead of The Show.

@collin_sds_MLBTS Collin, I read somewhere on one of your posts that you do a lot with fan interaction and social media. I have some really cool fan engagement ideas for MLBTS 22. I can't send them through chat on here to you. Is there somewhere or someone I can email them to? I'm a first-time player since I play on XBox, and I love the game. Thanks!

but you don't say [censored]. like the PCI Issues all year long you don't say [censored], you dont fix it, you dont say anything you just put ramone and his bright white chicklets on all your press releases and he tells us how great it is, when content wise its great, but game play is almost as bad as Madden. Its a joke as well as most of you are.

I think all game companies need to have active community managers on forums. EA, SDS, Rockstar, whoever. I understand some posts can be awful but there are many with constructive criticisms and legitimate questions.

Game Developers for years have been failing in the customer service department. It’s a thankless job but I bet if these companies engaged in community interaction there would be more good than bad that would come of it.

I also know on the flip side hiring someone or a group of people to do this costs money, and let’s call a spade a spade. Companies don’t want to spend money where there is no return on investment because at the end of the day, the only customers that matter to the higher ups are the shareholders.

San Diego Studio. Thank you always. I am a user who plays The Show. I have some suggestions. 1. The Show's player's face and personal edition roster file team's roster modification Everything will be reset when the player retires. So please make it faster and easier to get the download file value and the individual player's setting value. I hope The Show will support it. In particular, franchise mode is not supported here. I don't want to work hard with my own team and players' set value files every time. So, it would be nice to apply the recall application at any time faster. In particular, it would be nice to make it easy to bring in each individual player in franchise mode, such as player's face setting, personal edition file value, etc. Thank you. Always be healthy. In particular, it would be great if you could download files from other users and import files from multiple locations, such as franchise mode, rtts, at any time immediately.
