I MLBTS16 if you left someone in the pen too long they would eventually start losing energy. The 'Ready and Waiting' option had some alleged functionality, but you had oppose and reactivate it each inning.

This has not been the case since the launch of MLBTS17, so why it still in the game? Does it serve a purpose I am unaware of?I start warming relievers up the f time an opponent pauses and I never look back.

There’s not a purpose. Probably just something they didn’t care about taking out. I suppose some might use it in Franchise.
