Deep outfield to home cutoffs changed?

Were there changes made for how deep outfield to plate cutoffs are handled? In the past (and real life) these cutoffs are almost always OF -> 2B/SS standing in shallow outfield grass -> plate. But this year even on throws starting at the wall, the first cutoff is the 1B standing about 50 feet in front of the plate. Outside of the absolute strongest arms, these throws end up rolling to the cutoff and turn easy outs into easy runs.

I noticed this too. I really hope it gets fixed in a future patch. I've never seen the cutoff man on the inside of the diamond irl.
