SDS thinks it's funny rigging conquest

You hit 7-8 balls at 95-110 mph for outs then you lose to the CPU on Veteran on a solo shot
makes sense !
Whoever thought of that algorithm .. Eat dirt !
Why try to
make the grind more annoying than it is -

Wait…you lost a game on Veteran difficulty?
-
If you didn’t already know, the CPU will always match your starting pitcher with their spot in the rotation. Choose your fifth starter and you face theirs.
-
Do yourself a favour and play Allstar. It plays way better and easier than veteran.
I went extra innings too many times and get too random outcomes on veteran.
On Allstar i put up 3+ runs consistently. -

They did. Not every player makes World Series.

I’m with OP on this I noticed way too many perfect perfect hits or just hits on General not being home runs. I legit have only 20-30 home runs combined playing the cpu so far and that’s with 30+ games played. Conquest, mini seasons etc.
And same as OP I play on varsity and have lost occasionally. I know I suck lol

Were the perfect/perfect hits that were not home runs actual hits or fly outs and line-outs?
Just curious because I have noticed more balls I hit thinking they were home runs hit the wall or something like that. Of course I had my share of p/p outs, but that’s expected. -

Yes. Definitely rigged. It's VERY difficult!

make the grind more annoying than it isI'll take that over hitting into 3 DPs in a row. Eventually won the thing, but it took 5 innings that I'll never get back.

I’m not the one struggling, but thanks for the advice.

I've had zero issue on veteran in conquest. I've finished East, West and WBC maps and every game is a blowout. Mini Seasons is a different story though. Even on Rookie I'll give up at least 5 runs a game.

I think I lost one game early on on veteran on conquest. It does seem sometimes like the CPU tries to design losing outcomes. If you lose it's 10 minutes punted plus you get the XP still, not a huge deal as it's very rare. All that said, it doesn't seem like SDS has implemented the RNG thing yet where some really good contact doesn't go as far as it should because hitting stats were too high. It was very clear when they implemented it last year, late april i think. point being, CPU still throws a ton of middle-middle pitches that are mashable so if i don't score a couple in the first i tend to take a couple pitches in the 2nd inning as to not risk trying to be too quick getting the game done and losing to a scripted HR.

I’m finding that I have better hitting results on all star and above.

Yes.
While Zone is definately more rewarding online h2h, I was stuggling to hit 1 home run in a WBC moment. ...So, I then switched to directional (with directional arrow up) and got it on my 2nd swing. Weird. -
I just checked I am 22-4 on veteran conquest games this year. several of those losses came early as I was getting used to the timing. Now, If I had gone 26 and 0 I would probably bump the difficulty up.
And just as a reference, this is my perfect perfect history according to my game logs for the games I played in the NL Central Affinity Map. This is for those who swear the game is programed for them to fail on perfect/perfect swings.
