Hitting seem a little harder this year, homeruns?

I’m really struggling with the showdowns so far. I can’t seem to hit homeruns or get much going. The showdowns give you teams with 90 and up players; so they are good enough. I just can’t seem to beat them.
Anyone else feeling it?

I just finished all of the Showdowns and moved onto some of the moments so I haven't even played any games yet just this [censored]. But yeah the Showdowns were a pain in the [censored]. The AI is still ridiculous with their diving all over the place, back foot throws across the diamond, constant double plays, robbed home runs, etc etc. I'm glad it's over. For now...

The showdowns feel the same to me but conquest seems more aggressive.

Can you even have a valid opinion on hitting from Showdowns? I haven’t touched them in 2 years but when I did play them, they seemed extremely scripted at times. Totally different experience from Ranked or vs CPU.
