I'm skeptical, but maybe just because the sample size is so small still
My first 3 opponents quit. And the ball off the bat is way smoother and better
The pci also looks smaller on allstar.
Exit cells are higher. Game is better trust me.
If 3 opponents quit, then hitting apparently was not improved for them.
WHO CARES ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE?!??!?!?!?!?! As long as the benefits go to the crybabies...
Maybe they'll shut up about it now...or, they'll move on to complaining about something else. It's exhausting.

Just take a minute to think logically:
SDS gets a TON of complaints about hitting and the timing window... it could impact their ability to generate revenue on transactions, game purchases, etc.. Why would they NOT post updates in the patch notes to talk about adjusting the hitting? They have every interest in posting an update like that to generate more interest and revenue from their customers.
They didn’t touch hitting. Nothing to see here.
Brah. Look. I’m telling you as a person who was lining out like 15-18 times a game. I didn’t get better over night. My hitting rewards are legit. Have I lined out??? Yes. But it’s almost like I get why. Something is very different about this game why would I say that???? I just woke up and all of a sudden my contact is being rewarded way better why? Exit velos are higher why? Did they just put my game on steroids so I stop complaining??? Lol
15-18 lineouts a game? Is your opponent throwing everything down the middle? Are you taking BP. Let’s not be hyperbolic.
If you’re playing on HOF, the game does play much better with good input. I scored plenty on my WS run, and had a lot more consistency with EVs (most likely due to the PCI size, larger pci’s get weird feedback more than smaller ones). It’s just harder to square things up with the timing.
They don’t want to hear that man, it’s never them it’s always the game
I guess so. I don’t see how you can line out “15-18 times a game” when playing lol. I played br games yesterday that were 15-12 and quits early in the game when I was up like 7/8-0, I guess I’m just luckier than the people on here ️
They call it “little billy” syndrome ️ Because we have good records and don’t struggle with records in the .500s we’re a “little billy who the game was made for”
Though I don’t see the logic in them having poor records and needing the game to change for them to have a better record and then calling us “little billy” if it stops their constant complaining I’ll live with it.
I don’t see the logic either. If the hitting is “better” that means good players will just beat down average players even more because they’ll score more (since they have better input more often than average players).
Obviously it’d be ideal to have input rewarded more, by the way.
No doubt, if I can finally crack the .400 barrier for the entire game cycle I won’t complain, maybe get my slugging over 1 for the game cycle as well lol but if it get them to be able to hit .290 and stop complaining I’m good with it lol

I really wish this site would ban anyone that uses "little billy". Such a dumb, tired conspiracy theory.
I agree. They always use that term failing to realize most of the people that play this game are over 20 and just want a good game. Hell a lot of the members of this forum are in their 30s

I mean just imagine when we have al of the 99s in circulation haha. Hitting .370-.390 right now means that number will jump a good amount once we stop using lesser cards in exchange of 99 mantle, Sheffield, etc

FYI I posted that thread about this yesterday...P/P swings are actually recorded in the box score. So you can prove if you got screwed

As an average to bad player I actually think the crappy hitting hurts me as much as anyone. When you only square up a few balls in a 9 inning game and have nothing to show for it, it gets pretty frustrating.
At least you guys get some hits out of good contact, just through having a lot more of it.
It's why I think this little billy stuff is dumb, I sure dont benefit from it.

While I understand that completely, imagine if someone who is capable of really good/perfect input consistently: they’d score a lot more runs. The games would be more lopsided.
Does that make sense?

As always everybody’s opinion on the game is based on if they win their most recent games or not, I’m sure there hasn’t been change to the game but glad you think it’s playing well.
6 straight my approach hasn’t changed. It feels not as responsive as launch but that’s a good thing. But way better then yesterday. The game is def different just look at the exit velos.
You’re playing on hall of fame now...
I just lost 2-1 to buccosboy_22 on an error. And out hit him. But never did I feel robbed of my inputs. It’s not about winning/losing for me it never had been

For sure, I think it would be better for everyone if good input was rewarded better than it is. If matchmaking works like it's supposed to I'm never going to play you guys anyway.

I will say, normally when I am pitching, the ball moves super slow, I understand this is to correlate the server timing between players. Today while playing RS my pitching was fast, as it is when playing offline against the computer. Is it possible my area (northern va) got a server added/upgraded?

The game is tuned different between AS and HOF. The last event was AS. The PCI is larger for both contact point and vision, pitch speeds are lower. Check swings are easier to accomplish and there is less it a penalty for timing and placement errors.
On HOF now PCI'S are smaller and pitch speeds are faster. Timing windows are shorter for good timing. Check swings are harder to accomplish and poor timing/placement is penalized more. With the increase in difficulty good PCI placement/timing is more difficult, so the solid contact rate is higher.
If you are able to keep consistent timing and PCI placement with the increased difficulty level you are going to see better results. Players that don't make the jump well will see a decrease in solid contact.
You reading way to far into this. It's no secret AS difficulty can be very inconsistent. HOF is a decent jump in necessary skill to hit. Remove the tinfoil hat and be glad you can play the game well on a higher difficulty level.
Fielding, pitching, and baserunning are the real bugaboos of this game. Hopefully they'll continue to address those.
