RTTS crashing

RTTS has crashed 4 times so far on my PS5 whenever I am pressing X to bypass cutscenes or to move the game along. And then it reverts back to the last offday in the calendar. Being a very big PITA especially when it happens near the end of a series.

is there anything happening when you don't bypass the scenes? Is the screen before you hit it acting normally, or still have that moving "icon" thing that shows the system is still auto saving?
