I purchased preorder on the switch so i could let my son and i play on the go and link to the xbox account , played for 4 hours last night .. wake up to all progress gone and 0 stubs

You linked your account wrong. There is a specific order it need to be done in(idk what that order is as I've never linked). Unlink and your stuff will be back

Is there an update on how to link properly? I lost all progress between Xbox early access and PlayStation digital deluxe pre order. I have nothing on either account after trying to link them
