I thought I had heard that some rewards/cards were easier to obtain in online play last year (compared to previous years), so I was debating on signing up for PlayStation Plus. Is it worth getting the “Essential” (basic) version of PlayStation Plus for MLB The Show 23?

They added the BR program and the RS program. It made it easier to get those card because you did not have to go 12-0 to get the card

    What @Boneman05_PSN said.

The Ranked program now goes by innings pitched, not wins. So now even if you stink (like me!), you can still grind it out and get the rewards.
The final BR program this year was super easy. Waiting tonight to see how much they re-set it, but I'll probably at least give it a go and see.

Thanks. I stink just as much, if not more. Lol.

Yeah they really made the BR program grind real easy at the end of the year. I jumped in after not playing since August or so and got it done in like 6 hours. Being able to get points for using all-star/rookie/etc players made it real easy and was a good idea in general to keep people from quitting early. That said, I assume as one user noted they'll scale it back and make it take longer to grind the program...though i hope they keep an element of the use certain cards to get the program done quicker.

Yup, sounds like I’ll be getting PlayStation Plus this season. Thanks.
