stealing
-
when i first got this game and played rtts the manger would ask me to steal but i was so slow always got throwed out, after seeing that was going nowhere i ignored him. But as i advanced and got faster i can now steal bases but something changed i dont know if it is my setting or what, but if i steal successfully or am thrown out. if i steal on 2 out and batter strikes out or hits, the game ALWAYS regresses my base stealing attribute, no matter what ALWAYS. Im guessing because the manger is not telling me to steal. But since those very early games he never has asked me to steal and this is true even after being called up to the bigs. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If I remember correctly, somewhere it explained the Stealing attribute ONLY depends on the jump you get. There are times I am thrown out but stealing goes up and there are times I steal the base and stealing goes down. The jump is what counts, not the result which is weird. That is why from a leveling standpoint if you can get good jumps, steal at will. Whether you are thrown out or not does not matter. Also, getting picked off REALLY lowers stealing so you have to balance that with trying for good jumps to boost the stat. Keep in mind once the batter reaches two ball counts the pitchers will not pitch out and rarely throw over so getting a consistent good jump is simpler to read.

I can confirm, what @worm91_NSW said. It just depends on the jump. My „trick“ was (if I remember correctly): Hold the Trigger on the ride side (the one you steal with) and pull down the left stick (in case of a pickoff). Release trigger, when the pitcher starts his motion
