How do you play H2H offline?

And are you talking about the servers crashing or your opponent mysteriously losing connection during a home run?

No it completely quits out of the game and goes back to my Xbox home page

Do you get the win? If so, that is your opponent leaving the game. Nothing, on SDS's end can be done about that.
