Why is the PCI size so tiny on All Star/HOF this year???? Why change it from last year?

    Agreed. It’s too small.

To who? The majority of players would not agree with you.

I’m telling you guys....go directional and wait for the game to hang your opponents pitches for you to crush.

You’ll draw a ton of walks too, the pitching is trash this year....may as well exploit it.

Hitting is easier this year than ever, I hold my controller with one hand while eating dinner and watching a movie...just waiting for those hangers the game serves you regardless of what your opponent does.

HoF is pretty small, but I'm fine with that as it makes the game more competitive and skill based. Unfortunately, the game mechanics do not support that same idea of rewarding skill.

AS is too big if anything imo, but maybe that's just me. Personally I don't think there's a reason to change either right now. They need to fix the hitting engine first and make it so squared up balls are actually squared up and not good/okay

All Star is not too big. Smaller than it’s ever been.

And last year it was absolutely too big. That's a huge part of the reason why foul tips were so common last year, even for very early/very late swings.

Just my opinion, but like I said, I don't think it needs to change at this point

It should be evaluated, I played the vs cpu game vs the Cubs, all my hitters had 80+ con R and vis and faced Cotton whose H9 and K9 are in the 50s and the pci was about double bat thickness top to bottom. that's very tiny for good hitters against a weak pitcher, the other Cubs pitchers didn't see much difference either,
I wouldn't mind the size of it if itwas low vis/con hitters or high9s pitchers.
I guess you face a guy with 100s on his 9s and you'd get legend size pci on all star??

    Ok.

I’m not trying to hurt your feelings but it’s honestly bad advice. That’s the route of below average players who never want to rise above mediocrity.

If someone wants to get good at this game they need to learn how to hit with the PCI and stop whining about everything that doesn’t seem to go their way at the time. Learn from every pitch in every AB instead of moaning about what happened 3 innings ago

This is sound advice if the game mechanics were working properly, but they aren’t. So you just come across as smug and that doesn’t help anyone.

Lol, no point of getting good at the game when good hits are Good/Okay nerfed hits and Late/Weak are the ones that bring in the runs.

No point in getting perfect release when pitching because it’s either a walk or a hanger over the middle.

No point in getting diamond level fielders cause the game will still force errors on them.

Below average players are who this game caters to, may as well use it to your advantage.

I strongly disagree. Just look at the top of the leaderboards. There’s most definitely a skill gap

If hitting is so broken as you claim then why are all the good players hitting above .375?

Oh also, to the topic, as has been said, the PCI size doesn’t seem to matter as much right now, because even when the ball is fully inside the PCI, the result is still going to vary.
