My take on the Negro League players finally being in the game.

Granted its great for the history aspec. But me personally, whatever it cost SDS to get those rights, I would've rather had those funds for towards better servers.
I don't need multiple cards (assuming thata how it will be) on 8 other players than may not even make my roster.
I'd rather have stable servers. You can't get the new cards if the servers won't work.
But again, that's my opinion.

They won't be spending any money on the servers. Even if I were to get the new game, I would not get it on launch simply because every new season the servers crash non stop for a day or two. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but SDS could care less about your gaming experience, they just want your money.

Understand your frustration, but the reality is more likely that the funds allocated to maintenance the servers is completely separate from the marketing budget they have to sign new players.
One really doesn't affect the other. We can definitely all agree that a more consistent gameplay experience without disconnection/freeze issues is something that everybody wants.

Better servers will not serve that amount of game copies than integrating something like Negro League, Jeter, etc do. … You gotta respect, that SDS has to earn money and grow…. that does not mean, that better servers is a bad wish.
If I had to choose between 1) Jeter/NegroLeague OR 2) better servers, then it is clearly 1

Your assuming all of their money goes into the legends roster. They only have a certain budget for legends. Servers and gameplay being bad is pure laziness, not because they are using too much money on cards. I've said it before and said it again, the team that works on content and cards probably doesn't like gameplay/servers any better than we do. Servers were also fine in 22. If you think they weren't you are just a hater(freeze offs aren't servers)

This. Other than the moment the game went live, servers were fantastic this year. And I know you magically are in every freeze off known to man, I had the opposite experience. I might have had 1 all year and I completed BR most seasons and it took me way longer than the average bear. Servers were absolutely a non issue in 22.

Co-Op still has too many freezes but RS has been really clean for me. In close to 1000 games I could count freeze offs and bad lag on one hand.

I'm not a tech guy so I don't know this stuff, but as far as I know the game and marketplace app are on the same server. That's only my guess because both are down at the same time during server maintenance...
I've always wondered if all those people playing on the marketplace app affect those who are online playing the game. Server load something

I've said the same thing about some of the silly additions like created stadiums with aliens and Yeti's in the background.
Can we fix gameplay and freezing and servers before we spend time on gimmicks?

Hasn’t anyone every watched Ancient Aliens? We got baseball from aliens, that’s why the UFOs make sense! Also back in the day if you hit a home run off of a dinosaur it was worth 2 runs!

They were in the top ten in sales in 2022 if they wanted to reinvest in building better servers they could easily do that while still acquiring player rights they are choosing not to

well you are assuming that it is pure laziness on the server thing. I did not assume that because of the legends you are not getting servers. They have other piorities which do not match yours. Maybe they invested in legends, features, marketing … to grow.
I did not get the last part about calling me out being a hater. Why do people have to be that way? We are just discussing and I have a different oppinion. No need to battle ;).
But, honestly. I am not that good a online player to blame servers and not by bad pci skills/reaction. I had bad connections, true … but I do not see the servers being the main issue
