They went from last place to WS in 2013. In 2014 and 2015b they had less than 80 wins then 3 straight Division titles including the 2018 championship. They've turned things around in a hurry before and will likely do it again. The division does seem to be shaping up to be a real meatgrinder, but the new balanced schedule will also make a big difference.

That's only one piece of puzzle. They burned the other pieces to ashes and the old Dan Duquette days are showing again.
