I just played a franchise game between the Marlins and Phillies. It was on veteran difficulty, casual. I beat the cpu Phillies in 12 innings 4-2. It was an 8.5 out of 10 in sweatiness.

I scored 4 runs on only 6 hits (!!!!) and struck out 6 times. There were multiple highlight reel diving defensive plays, one on a perfect swing with runners on.

Is this an example of the cpu determining that the Phillies should win this game and doing everything to make that happen?

The only 2 runs the cpu scored were on no doubt home runs out of the blue on decent pitches, both in the early innings.

I thought the whole point of casual was so that I don’t have to get sweaty?!

I have had that a lot in conquest lately. Had what should have been a 3 inning game turned into a 10 inning grind for basically nothing. Most of my games in that mode have been 4-5 innings with neither team hitting on veteran.

I just played all 162 games w franchise and used "dynamic" difficulty which adjusted as i played. Finished 99-63 w batting and pitching on legend by the time season ended. I dont understand your reasoning w those results using veteran. It does seem sometimes it IS scripted but when u realize the scenario you counter attack. Holding the CPU to min runs is pretty easy in this game even on legend. Maybe try dynamic and have it adjust to your difficulty?

That’s a good suggestion. I was more just curious about why this sometimes happens. I switched to “casual” so every game is not super sweaty, and generally that has been the case.

It sort of seems like there is no mode or difficulty in the game now where the cpu will not dot the corners or start hitters off with 3-0 counts.

I don’t remember this being the case in the past but…

I did that on the show 21 and because I got lucky on my very first game I went instantly from rookie to all star, and despite getting destroyed for 15 straight games it NEVER went down to even veteran. I think I will pass on "may I please have an even more demoralizing experience mode" for now.

I can pitch pretty solidly, even in 3 of my last 4 were 700, 800, and 900 level players and I was still at least within striking distance because of my pitching until the 5-7th innings but my hitting is just that bad for now.

Lately it seems like I might be having a breakthrough, but then I get crunched 2-3 games in a row and I have to start all over again.

That is NOT the case in 22 Theres a spot in settings to show you where u are at in dfficulty before every batter. Theres 2 tiers to each level (EX: Veteran & Veteran+) each increase brings u to the MIDDLE of NEXT tier as does decrease brings u to the MIDDLE of NEXT tier down.

That's encouraging. I still have too much to do for 20 and 21 and want to get what I can done before I run out of time.
