They are like the Rays, they can't keep their stars....but they don't have intelligent people running the organization like the Rays.

On an unrelated note, Reynolds would look great in Cardinal red.

Year in and year out, Reynolds' cards are my favorites. If he's in Cardinal red, so be it.

Well they said that just because he wants a trade that they have no plans on trading him.

Yeah, I don’t think anyone really has or wants to part with the kind of prospect wealth that the pirates would want in return.

Mariners Twitter is going off with ridiculous proposals.

I think he still has 2 year of arb left, so there's no way they're trading him

Seeing how the Pirates are using the same rebuild plan the Cubs used for 108 years all he has to do is play well and he would likely be traded at the deadline soon enough anyway.

The Pirates are once of the greatest MLB puzzles of all time. I feel like they are in a constant rebuild. I feel like since the their success in the early 90s and then firesale, they have consistently developed talent or acquired prospect talent through their many deals. However, anytime they start to see that talent materialize into major league players they hit the reset button.

They are doing like several teams have done in history. They know they will make a profit if they have salary at x amount and put all profit above that in their pockets then cry "small market" or "we are broke".

What the fans need to do is stop showing up entirely and when they play in even emptier stadiums than they already do they will either put finances in and start winning again, or move away, in which case you lost nothing, because they already showed you for 30 years the fans are not their priority.

Hitting them in the bottom line is the only way to get their attention.
