Dotting Pitches & Online Play

Being able to put any pitch on the black or just off the plate at will and watching the ball warp to home plate makes playing online almost unbearable. The only reason I play it is to grind innings for Randy because within seconds of release the buy orders were out of control, but the gameplay quality is abysmal. At least offline the CPU leaves a pitch or 2 hanging every now and then and the pitches don’t warp to the plate which makes it at least playable despite the numerous flaws in overall gameplay.

Just frustrating as I’d gladly drop a million stubs to bypass playing ranked any day any time but sadly I was busy working at drop and by the time I put in a buy order it was already well over 1200. For those that pounced seconds after release I’m jealous you had the ability to put your life on hold temporarily to do so.

I try to enjoy the game for what it is but it’s clearly become a game geared towards the super hardcore that live on the game or extreme casuals that don’t care at all. If you fall somewhere in between you are largely SOL and forced to go without some of the best cards, grind endlessly, or drop tons of money.
