I’m not very good at the game and I’m currently grinding Randy. I usually sit in the 500s. Lately all I’ve been seeing is World Series banners and guys that smash. It’s very frustrating as I enjoy the games with opponents of my skill level. But because I need the innings I continue to get pounded. I’ve played RS since 17 and I’ve never seen craziness like this.

It is almost Thanksgiving. This late in the game cycle a lot of the more casual, inexperienced players have moved on as only the competitive diehards are still grinding away.

Not nearly as much low hanging fruit still around this time of the year playing Ranked Seasons.

i've been doing this all year - it's because i hardly play at all - and it is super fun to feel like God for a minute and crush you guys in RS - i can barely get 9 innings in you all quit so fast out - 23-1 this year in RS so far lol

I'm seeing the same thing. I'm either playing WS guys or complete newbies who will quit after 1 inning. To be expected this time of year.

I just played a guy who was 72-19. He mercied me after 5 innings. He entered the game with a 401 rating.

I just started playing RS this weekend have not touched online play all year until now to grind for Johnson, It going ok. I suck at hitting so pitching has to be great for me. I usually do not give up HR until around the 6 or 7th inning but If I am getting rocked early in the game it is a waste of time to grind innings that way. I will quit. Players are scared to throw any where close to the zone. Some games I am good at laying off but the game gets boring.

A lot of people coming back to play ranked for Randy and BR for Trout, guys that probably haven’t played in months and now have to start in the lower tiers.

What he said. Most of these guys have moved on and their ranking have fallen to starting in the 400 range so they are climbing back up.

I am playing a bit for first time in awhile and it’s been weird. Thru 7 games , I think I have given up a homerun in the first inning to fall behind every time and then the opponent has only scored maybe 1 - 2 times cumulatively. It’s starting to seem to weird to be random.

im a WS player, think record is 70-15 or so. I played ranked yesterday for the first time in a decent while and I mean just have less desire to play ranked or anything much. been on that elden ring grind and GoW.

Be careful, you'll have all the women swooning, and the men straight 6 to midnight with game like that. I am half turned on myself by just how sexy your flex was.

Every season I end up 1-2 wins away from World Series. I hit a wall because I can't hit fastballs consistently at the higher difficulty levels, but I rake on All Star.

Given Randy is the only reward that mattered I lost a bunch of games on purpose by striking out as fast as I could to log more innings. Then I wrecked lower ranked players while leveling up Kershaw and DeGrom on my way to 250 innings.

It was a lot more fun than trying to hit against sweats on Hall of Fame.

Blame the screwed up incentives in the game. I have almost 10 million stubs but was 440th in line for Randy so my stubs were useless.

I’m not quite good enough for World Series so there was zero reason to want to play at higher difficulties. The rewards for leveling up below World Series are essentially worthless this late in the game cycle.

The rewards are worthless at all points in the games life cycle, they are virtual baseball cards that will become useless as soon as they announce the show ‘23. The fact that people do anything and everything to obtain these cards is actually sad.

Collecting all the cards and building the most OP team is the core incentive of any ultimate team game mode. If you aren’t trying to max out your team then what is it all about?

Enjoyment, fun? All the things people living and dying by RS records and the worthless cards they collect don’t understand. You got MS Randy Johnson, congrats, enjoy using him against the 45 other people left playing, who also have MS Randy Johnson. All that toxicity to get a card that no one cares about because 3/4 of the population is gone.
