After watching two tough losses in a row for the Yankees, maybe more game than we think are won on bloop hits, infield singles, early swings, etc. Brutal

It definitely happens more IRL than in game. Thats always been 100% fact. It is just a lot of people are video game first guys and not baseball first and want simulation taken out.
BTW, that was an amazingly good swing by Gonzales to hit that 2 strike pitch up the middle. That was probably strike 3 on a great breaking pitch if he didnt swing. Was just barely off the plate and way too close to take.

Oscar's single looking a lot like Pena's single the other night. Slider low and away, smacked up the middle.

Yeah was definitely was way closer to the plate than that Yankee pitcher wanted I am sure. But still, in a 1-2 count, not a bad pitch, just clutch hitting.

There is no reason Peralta should have been back out in the 9th. If Schmidt had a clean inning, maybe it’s a different scenario. I have to give credit to (I think it was JRam), who muscled an inside pitch against the shift. One instance where the shift failed. If IKF were playing in his normal spot, it’s an easy play.
